I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and EMDR-trained therapist who helps adults work through anxiety, trauma, self-doubt, and relationship challenges. I specialize in supporting first-generation immigrants and high-achieving individuals who struggle with imposter syndrome, people-pleasing, or feeling “not good enough.” My approach is warm, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based practices like EMDR and CBT. I create a space where you can process difficult experiences, build confidence, and develop tools to feel more secure and empowered in your life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, relevant history, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You can share at your own pace—there’s no pressure to tell your entire story right away. We’ll also talk about your goals, discuss how I work, and begin identifying practical next steps. My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, clear about the direction of therapy, and confident that we have a plan moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is the balance of warmth and structure. Clients often tell me they feel deeply understood while also appreciating that our work is focused and goal-oriented. I don’t believe in surface-level coping alone — we work to identify and process the root experiences driving current patterns. I integrate EMDR and CBT to help clients not only understand their anxiety, trauma, or self-doubt, but actually reprocess and shift the beliefs that keep them stuck. Many clients notice reduced emotional reactivity, stronger boundaries, and increased confidence as we move through treatment. I also bring cultural sensitivity and lived awareness to my work with first-generation immigrants and high-achieving individuals navigating identity, family pressure, and imposter syndrome.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adults who are navigating anxiety, trauma, and self-esteem challenges—particularly first-generation immigrants and high-achieving professionals who feel the pressure to succeed while quietly struggling inside. Many of my clients identify with imposter syndrome, people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed despite appearing “put together.” I also work well with individuals recovering from emotionally abusive relationships or complex family dynamics. If your goal is to process past experiences, build confidence, improve relationships, and feel more secure in who you are, we would likely be a good fit.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I regularly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is particularly effective for anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and stress-related concerns. In sessions, I help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge cognitive distortions, and develop healthier, more balanced ways of thinking. I also incorporate behavioral strategies such as exposure work, skill-building, and structured coping tools to support lasting change. I often integrate CBT with trauma-informed approaches and attachment-based work, especially for clients whose thought patterns stem from early relational experiences or cultural pressures. My goal is not just symptom reduction but helping clients build long-term emotional resilience and confidence.

EMDR

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and regularly integrate it into my work with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem concerns. EMDR is an evidence-based treatment that helps clients process distressing memories and experiences that continue to impact their current functioning. In my practice, I use EMDR to help clients identify and reprocess core memories that contribute to patterns such as people-pleasing, imposter syndrome, chronic self-doubt, and relational difficulties. I follow the structured 8-phase EMDR protocol while also ensuring that clients have strong grounding and stabilization skills before trauma processing begins. Many of my clients are first-generation immigrants or individuals navigating complex cultural and identity-related stressors. EMDR allows us to process experiences related to migration, family dynamics, intergenerational expectations, and attachment wounds in a way that reduces emotional intensity and increases adaptive beliefs about the self. My approach is collaborative and paced according to the client’s readiness. I prioritize emotional safety, nervous system regulation, and sustainable change rather than rushing trauma processing. Clients often report feeling lighter, more confident, and less reactive after completing EMDR work.
