New to Grow
I am a compassionate, culturally sensitive, and collaborative therapist who offers a supportive space to slow down, untangle what’s been holding you back, and build confidence in your ability to cope and grow. My goal is to help you feel truly understood and equipped with the tools needed to create the balance, peace, and clarity you deserve. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. I am committed to helping individuals develop insight, resilience, and meaningful change while honoring their unique experiences and strengths.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is a welcoming and supportive space to begin your therapy journey. We’ll take time to get to know each other, discuss what brought you to therapy, and explore what you’re hoping to gain from our time work together. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. Therefore, this session will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, concerns, and goals. I will also explain my approach to therapy, so you know what to expect in future sessions. Together, we’ll begin identifying what’s been weighing on you and discuss initial strategies that may help you feel more grounded and supported. Most importantly, the first session is about building trust and creating a space where you feel heard, respected, and understood.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I have over 16 years of experience supporting individuals, teens, and families in a variety of behavioral health positions and settings across Massachusetts. I hold additional training and credentials through PESI and specialize in CBT, DBT and trauma-informed approaches to care.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally drained, and who are ready to slow down and better understand what’s been holding them back. I work well with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, problem sexual behavior, grief, trauma, life transitions, and challenges related to identity, relationships, or self-esteem. I am best positioned to support individuals who are open to self-reflection, value a collaborative therapeutic relationship, and want practical tools they can apply in their daily life. Many of my clients are seeking greater emotional balance, healthier coping strategies, and a deeper sense of clarity, confidence, and self-compassion. I also work especially well with clients who value culturally sensitive care and want a therapist who listens deeply, honors their lived experiences, and meets them where they are. Together, we will focus on meaningful, sustainable growth that supports both healing and long-term well-being.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a core evidence based treatment modality that I use in my practice. I have experience applying CBT with clients presenting with anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, stress management challenges, and maladaptive thought and behavior patterns. I value CBT for its structured, collaborative, and evidence-based framework, which empowers individuals to understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In my practice, I often use CBT to help individuals identify and challenge unhelpful or distorted thinking patterns, develop healthier cognitive responses, and practice more adaptive coping strategies.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an important treatment approach I also use in my practice, particularly with individuals who experience emotion dysregulation, chronic stress, self-destructive behaviors, interpersonal difficulties, and trauma-related symptoms. I value DBT for its balance of acceptance and change, and for its strong emphasis on practical, skills-based interventions. In my practice, I integrate core DBT principles, mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness, into individual therapy sessions. I help individuals develop awareness of their emotional experiences, increase tolerance for distress without engaging in maladaptive behaviors, and build skills to manage intense emotions more effectively.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness meditation is an integral component of my therapeutic approach, particularly in supporting individuals with anxiety, stress, trauma-related symptoms, emotion regulation difficulties, and overall emotional well-being. I incorporate mindfulness-based practices to help individuals develop greater present-moment awareness, increase emotional tolerance, and reduce reactivity to distressing thoughts and feelings.
