New to Grow
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 17 years of experience working with teens and adults who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and trauma. I believe that meaningful change happens in a space where people feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. I completed my graduate-level education and clinical training in mental health counseling and have spent my career working in a variety of clinical settings, which has allowed me to support individuals with diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and needs. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with adolescents, adults, and families facing both everyday stressors and more complex emotional and relational challenges. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, and relationship issues, and I am especially mindful of how life transitions, stress, and past experiences can impact emotional well-being. I draw from evidence-based practices and tailor treatment to meet each client where they are, honoring their goals, values, and pace
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free space. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brings you to therapy, and exploring your goals and hopes for the process. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, challenges, and strengths, while also giving you plenty of space to share at your own pace.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My therapeutic approach is the combination of extensive experience, relational warmth, and evidence-based care. With over 17 years in the field, I bring depth, flexibility, and clinical insight to my work with teens and adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. My emphasis on creating a space where clients feel genuinely heard and supported highlights a strong relational foundation, while my use of tailored, research-informed methods reflects a thoughtful and individualized approach. Overall, I am committed to meaningful, sustainable change grounded in both compassion and clinical expertise.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My approach to therapy is collaborative, goal-oriented, and rooted in evidence-based practices. I draw from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify strengths, set meaningful goals, and build practical solutions that support positive change. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy to help clients better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while developing skills to manage stress, anxiety, and mood challenges with greater awareness and balance.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is a structured, goal-oriented approach that focuses on identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and replacing them with more balanced, realistic perspectives. Together, we explore how certain beliefs may be contributing to distress and develop practical tools to respond in healthier ways.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
In my practice, I use Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to help clients identify and build on their existing strengths and resources. Rather than focusing heavily on problems or past difficulties, this approach centers on what is already working and how to create more of it. Together, we clarify your goals, envision your preferred future, and identify small, practical steps that move you in that direction. Solution-Focused Therapy is collaborative, empowering, and forward-looking. It emphasizes progress over perfection and helps you recognize your capacity for change—often leading to meaningful shifts in a relatively short period of time.
Strength-Based
In my practice, I use Strengths-Based Therapy to help clients recognize and build upon their existing abilities, values, and internal resources. Rather than focusing solely on challenges or symptoms, this approach highlights what is working well and how those strengths can be leveraged to navigate difficulties. Together, we identify patterns of resilience, past successes, and personal qualities that can support growth and healing. Strengths-Based Therapy is empowering and affirming. It fosters confidence, self-awareness, and hope by helping you see yourself not as defined by problems, but as capable and resourceful in creating meaningful change.
