I am an older adult who has spent my life in service to others, and have now gained the education, licensing, and experience to continue my life of caring as a therapist. I am a mother and grandmother and share my living space with my cat, Chai. I have worked in Family & Children services, Emergency services, and in Addiction Treatment centers. I have extensive training and experience in helping people recover from trauma, both one-time events and complex events over time. I am familiar with and knowledgeable about cults and manipulative relationships that use undue influence and gas-lighting. My approach is person-centered and strengths-based, and I see myself as an advocate to help you navigate your life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session I will go over practical details such as laying out the framework of our sessions; start and end times, addressing any questions you may have about how to use the Grow Therapy platform, and any billing questions. We will clarify confidentiality and review your intake forms. After these details, you can talk about whatever is on your mind and we can go at your pace. It is important that you do not feel pressured, and are able to feel safe in our virtual space.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One unique strength is my ability as a good listener. I always strive to understand your viewpoint, what your experience is, and what your goals are. Together we will identify your goals and work out a plan of action to reach those goals. We will also work on emotional stability for the long run. I am able to validate your experience, and to offer other viewpoints for you to consider.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My approach to therapy is not to tell you how to live your life, but to validate your experience and support you as you discovery your inner strength and ability to chart your path in life

Strength-Based

AS we work together in therapy we will certainly process any negative experiences you wish to explore, with the focus on your strengths. You have the inner strength to heal and grow, and together we will discover, address, and remove any blocks to that growth.

Trauma Informed Care

Both lived experience and training have prepared me with an understanding of trauma and great compassion for those who are healing from it.
