*Currently NOT accepting couples* Hello, my name is William. I have been in the field for nearly 10 years now. I have worked in a variety of positions from Hospital settings to inpatient, to group/couples work, and the standard individual sessions. I am a sex-positive therapist who works with a wide range of issues. I work using a combination of short and long-term goals. However, I only work with 18+ year old clients. I'm not sure what exactly brought you here, but I can guess it has something to do with seeking a positive change. Perhaps this is your first-time trying therapy or you are well versed in the process. No matter the reason or experience level I would like to offer you a safe space to let those feelings out and share them in a nonjudgmental space.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session we start with the ground rules. We go over some of the basic things to know in therapy if it's your first time or if you have had a therapist before, we cover how my sessions differ. I tend to review your intake paperwork with you and find out a bit more about your goals for therapy. First sessions can be nerve wracking and not everyone has had a good experience with therapy in the past. I certainly try my best to help alleviate any worries or concerns.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is I strive for what I refer to as the "Merry Poppins Moment". I come in, help everyone grow and then fly away on my umbrella when I am no longer needed. For individuals, I work well with anxiety and depression as well as processing trauma. My niche, for any/all, is working with those in the kink and sex-positive community. Be it in any sort of D/s dynamic, power exchange, poly, open relationship or any lifestyle are welcome.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use these techniques in both individual and couples therapy for a variety of diagnoses. Anxiety, depression, addiction, anger and trauma focused sessions.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

This typically focuses on a combination of interpersonal, mindfulness, distress tolerance and emotional regulation building skills.

Psychoeducation

Regardless of why a client has come for therapy I have found this to be a universal tool.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

This style is that my client tells me about their goals in therapy and I help them achieve it as you are the expert in your life and in what you need. I am simply the guardrail on the highway of your success.
