Of the many types of relationships that I specialize in, the one dearest to my heart is the relationship between dog and human. With our beloved animals, there exists a special bond that many people are fortunate enough to experience in their lives. Out of this special attachment comes pure joy, but it can also lead to wrenching heartache. Having both personal and professional experience with pet loss grief, I want to assure you that you are not alone. I have personally navigated and worked through the difficult emotions associated with losing my beloved companion. As a licensed mental health counselor, based in Massachusetts, I am passionate about serving others, young and older, who might need support after losing their furry friend. Through telehealth sessions, I provide unconditional warmth, compassion, and empathy, creating a safe space for you to share your story and gain support as you navigate the next steps in your healing journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first sesion begins in a gentle space. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and no expectation to "move on" or talk about anything you're not ready to share. What we'll focus on: Getting to know you and the story of your pet Understanding how the loss has affected you (or your child/family) Exploring emotions such as sadness, guilt, anger, confusion, or numbness Identifying what feels most supportive right now Creating a life that honors your beloved companion What we won't do: Rush your grief Minimize your loss Force meaning and/or discuss the word "closure" Try to fix you, and/or your feelings...you are not broken Move on

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths are offering a warm, non-judgemental space, while honoring the deep bond individuals share with their pets. Your story, along with your pet's story- they both need to be witnessed- and I will open up a space for you to share it.
