New to Grow
Everyone deserves a safe and nurturing space to heal, grow, and be fully seen. I am honored to hold that space for you. The many roles I’ve carried throughout my life have shaped the therapist I am today—someone who understands that life is both beautiful and challenging, often at the same time. I know that life can be a beautiful struggle—full of complexity, growth, and challenge. My approach is holistic as I strive to provide a therapeutic experience that supports your unique journey. Utilizing my formal education, specialized training, and lived experiences, I am here to walk alongside you as you move through life’s obstacles and celebrations. Let’s talk about it. You don’t have to carry it alone.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
You will have a safe space to discuss what is bringing you to therapy and goals you would like to achieve. In our first session, we will review confidentiality and the structure of our sessions. You will begin with what is bringing you to therapy. You will have an opportunity to express what has worked for you in the past in this therapeutic space. I will provide space for you to express yourself and then we will conclude with actionable next steps. Continuing our work together we will identify goals that honor what you value ensuring you feel seen, respected, and able to share at your own pace.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My work as a therapist is shaped by a deep belief in the connection between mind, body, culture, and community. With a mental health degree focused on primary care, I learned early on how closely our emotional and physical health are intertwined, and how nutrition, movement, sleep, mindfulness, laughter, and rest can profoundly impact well-being. This holistic lens extends beyond the therapy room into my personal life, including my family’s journey toward plant-based living and community wellness. My background in Latino mental health and my time studying abroad in Costa Rica further strengthened my commitment to culturally responsive care and the importance of truly listening to each client’s unique story. At the heart of my approach is the belief that everyone’s experience deserves curiosity, respect, and time. In addition to my clinical training, I bring nearly two decades of experience in education, family engagement, and systems-based work. I have served, within major inner city public and charter schools as a teacher, behavioral specialist, and Director of Student and Family Affairs, where I led social-emotional programming, restorative practices, and staff coaching rooted in emotional responsiveness. My unique experiences with children with sensory needs and neurodivergence, keep me grounded, compassionate, and honest about how challenging — and meaningful — this work can be. My clinical training in Black-owned and community-centered settings reinforced my commitment to empowerment, collaboration, and honoring the direction my clients choose for their lives. Whether supporting individuals, families, or educators, I strive to create a nonjudgmental space that challenges oppressive systems, centers cultural humility, and helps clients recognize their own strength, agency, and capacity for growth.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
What does the best version of yourself look like? I am best positioned to support individuals who are ready to reflect, build insight, and actively engage in the work of answering that question. If you are curious about what the best version of yourself could look like and are open to examining the connections between your thoughts, behaviors, and lived experiences, we will work well together. I enjoy collaborating with clients to set clear, achievable goals and developing thoughtful plans that honor both where you are and where you want to go. Along the way, I show up as a steady guide and your biggest cheerleader — encouraging growth while holding space for honesty, compassion, and accountability. I am especially passionate to work with mothers, caregivers, educators, and individuals navigating depression and anxiety, life transitions, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and systemic stressors. Clients who value a holistic and culturally responsive approach tend to feel most at home in my practice. Whether you are managing big emotions, healing from past experiences, or learning how to move through systems that were not designed with you in mind, I aim to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can reflect, learn, and grow — at your own pace and in the direction you choose.
