New to Grow
As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, I have been providing psychotherapy to individuals and families, including Russian-speaking clients, for almost 30 years. In my work I utilize elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness to understand how your symptoms developed. My specialties include depression, anxiety, work-life balance, and interpersonal and family relationships. I provide a safe, accepting, and non-judgmental environment that makes it easy to communicate. In my spare time I enjoy yoga, gardening, and attending concerts and museums.
In our first session we will spend time to get to know each other. The client will choose what they want to start with and will be able to ask questions to understand better what therapy can do for them. They will also start developing goals and discovering their comfort level in talking about their problems.
I rely on my many years of experience to quickly assess client's needs and scope of the problems. I am good at establishing easy rapport and trust with a client. They usually achieve noticeable improvement in their symptoms after 4-5 sessions.
I enjoy working with clients who face major life transitions, have work-related challenges, struggle with marital and parenting problems, and try to manage stress and anxiety. I often see clients who navigate complex personal relationships, have low self-esteem and struggle with lack of confidence and fear of rejection. I use a variety of tools and approaches to help clients build better coping skills and achieve more confidence and life satisfaction.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify and change thought and behavior patterns which negatively affect their emotional well-being and functioning.
