Hi I’m Dawn! For over 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals, children, and families achieve their goals through providing inpatient, outpatient, and group therapy. Early in life, I learned the importance of helping others. My mission is to empower individuals and families to become their best selves. I would like to guide you in identifying tools to help you cope with everyday life stressors. If you are finding it difficult to navigate through life’s challenges, then I am here to support you.
Glimmer- verb shine faintly with a wavering light.
It is my most sincere belief that everyone deserves to live a life they enjoy living. And it is my belief that the ability to indulge in this is already inside you. As your therapist I am here to simply help you uncover and source what is already there. I invite you to become curious about yourself in the safe container of our sessions so that you can cultivate self-compassion in this process. I draw from my education, training and personal experiences in my work with clients.
My approach is based on the idea that healing is a relational process: I will collaborate with you to create a space where the you feel safe, seen, and understood. I am EMDR therapy trained and with that in addition to polyvagal and somatic informed tools I will help you along your path of self-discovery.
In my practice, I combine traditional and nontraditional methods to help you heal and explore through a process that is playful, accepting, and empathetic. During our sessions, we will focus on cultivating the awareness and skills that will help you find YOU. “we are all just walking eachother home” -ram das
Hello, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Doctor of Behavioral Health (DBH) with over 14 years of experience supporting adults through life’s challenges. I earned my Master’s degree from the University of Central Florida and my Doctorate degree from Arizona State University. I am currently licensed to practice in Florida, Maine, Virginia, Arizona, California, Kansas, Vermont, Maryland, and Colorado. Although I reside in Florida, I provide telehealth services to clients across these states.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based. I believe each person has the capacity for growth and healing, and I work alongside clients to help them recognize their resilience and build meaningful change. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, or relationship challenges, I provide a supportive space to help you find balance, clarity, and emotional well-being.
Are you a Christian struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or a challenging season of life? Perhaps you're feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or uncertain about what comes next. You want more than a counselor who simply identifies as Christian—you want someone who shares your commitment to biblical truth and the authority of Scripture. Together, we can navigate life's challenges through a distinctly biblical worldview while working toward healing, renewed hope, and spiritual growth.
As a Christian counselor and LCSW, my approach is rooted in Scripture and a traditional biblical worldview. I integrate evidence-based therapy with biblical truth to foster healing, resilience, and growth in Christ. I offer online counseling in 18 states: TX, CA, MA, CO, CT, VA, FL, RI, MI, TN, ID, AL, AR, MO, IN, KY, WY, and SC.
You shouldn't have to compromise your biblical convictions to receive quality mental health care. I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where your faith is understood, respected, and meaningfully integrated into counseling. It would be my privilege to walk alongside you. I offer a free 15–20 minute phone consultation to see if we're a good fit.

Hi! I'm Wen. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I help adults who are struggling to deal with everyday stressors and burnout. I empathetically listen to what you have to share and want to fully understand your situation before working collaboratively on solutions. I consider myself a direct person and try to break down the concepts that I teach into easily understood ideas.
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that something isn't OK right now. That something might be new, or it might have been around a long time. You might be able to describe it perfectly, or you might just feel off without knowing why. Either way — you're here, and that's the only thing that matters right now.
I start from wherever you are. No assumptions, no judgments, no one-size-fits-all approach. Just a genuine desire to understand you — what's brought you here, what you're carrying, and what you're hoping for.
Therapy with me — whether you're coming alone or with a partner — tends to be honest and occasionally even a little lighthearted. The human experience isn't black and white, and neither is the work we'll do together. What stays consistent is that you'll have a space that belongs to you, where nothing you say or feel changes how I show up for you.
For couples, that space belongs to both of you equally. I don't take sides. What I do is help you see the pattern you're both caught in — because most of the time it's the cycle doing the damage, not each other. When that shifts, something else becomes possible.
No matter what it is you are navigating — depression, relationships, identity, or the gap between how you show up and how you actually feel inside — you don't have to have it figured out to reach out.
Hello, my name is Karlee Strahorn. I want to welcome and thank you for taking this step toward your well-being. My priority is to create a judgment-free space where you can speak openly. Telehealth makes it possible for us to meet in a way that’s flexible and private, and I’ll be here to guide you through each stage of your journey.
I am Melinda Staton, LPC, Owner of Triumphant Coaching and Counseling LLC based in Virginia. I believe that healing begins beyond survival. I bring clinical expertise, lived experience and lived wisdom to my work in supporting clients through grief, chronic PTSD, chronic medical issues, cancer, military sexual trauma, anxiety, depression, caregiver burnout, and financial trauma.
I specialize in helping survivors move from the raw pain and emotions of grief and loss to inner healing, transformation and empowerment. Many of my clients carry trauma that feels isolating, numbing, impossible to overcome or invisible to others—pain that can be hard to explain, hard to believe, or hard to hold alone. I create a space where you feel and know you are truly seen, believed, and supported every step of the journey to healing and wholeness.
Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years in the field of mental health. I have worked with people at all ages and stages of life and who have a variety of different background experiences. I am honored to help you in your healing journey in whatever phase you are currently in.
The needs of each individual are unique. My experience and training allow me to offer both integrated and specific therapies to help clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, life stress and adjustment issues. If you have experienced troublesome or tramatic life events, I will work with you on alleviating negative symptoms and modifying unhealthy behaviors that impact you and those close to you. I offer many therapeutic approaches to healing such as psychodynamic psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I strive to help clients harness their strengths to achieve more confidence and independence. I am trained to provide EMDR ( Eye MovementDesensitization and Reprocessing. This targeted therapy can help if you have distressing memories and negative beliefs about yourself. EMDR can help you "reprocess" negative and/or traumatic events and help you to feel as if the event is further away and less intrusive.
I believe there are many ways to heal. Throughout the therapeutic process we will work to help you find your right path, take control of your journey and feel more optomistic about your future.

Hi, I’m Faith Williams, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia and the founder of The Place for Renewal Mental Health Counseling & Wellness. I believe therapy should be a place where you can show up as yourself without having to pretend that you have everything figured out.
Life can be hard. Sometimes you’re doing your best to keep going, but underneath it all, you’re overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, hurting, or simply unsure of what comes next. You may have spent a long time taking care of everyone else and forgotten what it feels like to take care of yourself.
I’m here to help you slow down, feel seen, and make sense of what you’re carrying. My approach is trauma-informed and draws from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Together, we’ll focus on what you’re experiencing, what matters most to you, and the goals you want to work toward.
My hope is that you leave our work together with greater clarity, stronger coping skills, and a deeper understanding of yourself. I want you to feel supported while also feeling empowered to grow.
At The Place for Renewal, I believe your current circumstances don’t have to define your future. You can come as you are, start where you are, and take the next step from there. You can be restored. You can be transformed. You can be renewed. And sometimes, that journey begins with simply having someone walk alongside you.
I am a licensed psychologist in Ohio and Virginia and a graduate of the University of Toledo. I have been serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families for over 35 years in a variety of settings. I maintain a part-time outpatient therapy practice while helping to lead a mental health agency in Virginia (where I live). Originally from Toledo, Ohio, I hope to serve clients who are in Toledo and/or the surrounding area. While my practice will be primarily via Telehealth, serving clients from the Toledo area will allow me to occasionally conduct in-person sessions. I love to help clients have a more compassionate understanding of themselves and others, heal through difficult circumstances, improve relationships, and achieve desired changes in their lives.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes that people are often stronger, more resilient, and more capable than they realize. My role is to help clients uncover those strengths, understand the patterns that keep them stuck, and develop new ways of responding to life's challenges.
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, low self-confidence, relationship difficulties, and identity shifts. Using a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based interventions, and practical problem-solving, I help clients understand not only what they are feeling, but why they are feeling it.
Together, we explore the cycles that often drive distress. Many people find themselves reacting automatically to triggers, conflict, uncertainty, or emotional demands in ways that once helped them feel safe but no longer serve them. Therapy provides a space to slow down, recognize those patterns, and create opportunities for different choices.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and empowering. I believe healing begins when we can move from simply surviving to understanding ourselves with greater compassion and intention. Whether you're navigating a major life transition, struggling with anxiety, or feeling stuck in familiar patterns, I aim to help you reconnect with your strengths and build confidence in your ability to move forward
Hey there! I’m Sacha, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) in Virginia. I provide a compassionate, direct, and collaborative approach to therapy, where you can safely explore challenges while building tools for meaningful, lasting change. My goal is for you to feel more confident, empowered, and understood throughout our work together.
I have experience in substance use settings and trauma-informed care, and I support clients navigating stress, trauma, mood challenges, and substance use. My approach is person-centered and tailored to you—this might look like building insight, strengthening coping tools, or helping you feel more grounded and stable day to day.
EMDR supports your brain and body in processing experiences that may still feel present, activated, or unresolved. Rather than staying only in the story of what you’ve been through, EMDR helps create space for your system to actually reprocess and shift how those experiences are held.
Helping people move from surviving to thriving is at the heart of everything I do. For more than 20 years, I've had the privilege of walking alongside individuals as they navigate trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, grief, relationship challenges, and life's most difficult transitions. I believe meaningful healing begins when you feel heard, respected, understood, and supported in a safe, compassionate environment where lasting change becomes possible.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should be a space where you feel supported, understood, and also empowered to make meaningful changes in your life. My approach is warm, direct, practical, and trauma-informed. I enjoy helping clients understand the deeper patterns behind their emotions, relationships, behaviors, and reactions while developing healthier ways to cope, communicate, set boundaries, and move forward.
I work especially well with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-worth concerns, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, and difficulty establishing healthy boundaries. I believe insight is important, but therapy should also give you tools you can actually use outside of the session.
As a therapist, I am compassionate but straightforward. I will meet you where you are without judgment, while also encouraging you to challenge patterns that may no longer be serving you. My goal is to help you develop a stronger understanding of yourself, trust your own judgment, regulate your emotions more effectively, and create a life and relationships that feel healthier, calmer, and more aligned with who you want to be.
I’m Shayla Gray, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, EMDR-certified therapist, and founder of Serenity First Counseling. I help individuals navigate relationship challenges, trauma, and life transitions, including pregnancy and parenthood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, creating space for you to feel heard while developing tools for meaningful change. Together, we’ll explore patterns, strengthen communication, and work toward healing and deeper connection with yourself and others.
I believe therapy works best when it feels less like a clinical appointment and more like a conversation with someone who's genuinely listening — really listening, not just waiting for their turn to speak. That's the space I try to create in every session: one where you can be honest without feeling judged, and where you leave feeling a little lighter than when you walked in.
Many of my clients tell me they felt comfortable opening up right away, even in their very first session. That's not an accident — I take the time to understand where you actually are in your life before jumping to solutions. Whether you're navigating a major life transition, working through anxiety or depression, or just feeling stuck and unsure how to move forward, my goal is to help you see your situation more clearly and find a path that actually fits your life.
I use an integrative approach — drawing on humanistic, solution-focused, and behavioral techniques — but the tools matter less than the relationship. I want you to feel heard, supported, and a little more hopeful after every conversation we have.
I am a therapist specializing in trauma, anxiety, and the LGBTQIA+ community. I am passionate about helping people heal from past experiences and live full, authentic lives. I studied at Lesley University and obtained a degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and a Certified Sylvotherapy Practitioner.
I have a holistic approach that integrates humanistic approaches, expressive arts and embodied healing. I believe that the whole person is important and that healing can take place on many levels. I use a variety of techniques to help clients explore their thoughts and feelings, and to find ways to express themselves creatively and connect with their bodies. I believe that everyone has the capacity for healing and that my role is to provide a safe and supportive space.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing teletherapy to adults in Virginia. I approach therapy as a collaboration where we make space for what’s difficult or confusing while also noticing progress and moments of relief. Clients often describe our sessions as calm and genuine, with humor and honesty mixed in.
I practice from a compassionate person-centered framework, integrating therapies to help you understand your experiences, manage distress and make changes that matter to you. I’m agnostic and open to people of all faiths and worldviews.
Therapy isn’t supposed to always feel good. It can be uncomfortable and tiring at times. My hope is that you leave each session with a little more clarity, support, and confidence in yourself.
If being on camera feels uncomfortable, we can discuss hiding self-view, adjusting your distance or camera angle while staying sufficiently visible, or covering my image on your screen without covering your camera. Phone-only appointments are not a routine substitute.
My standard cash-pay rate is $90 for a scheduled one-hour therapy appointment. Reduced-fee sessions at $30 or $45 may be available for uninsured clients or those with limited financial means. When a paid session is out of reach, we can discuss a brief pro bono check-in based on clinical need, availability and applicable payer rules. Insurance costs depend on your plan. Please bring up financial concerns so we can discuss a manageable arrangement.
Documentation requests
Detailed letters, clinical summaries, forms and related calls take professional time outside sessions, billed through Square online invoicing. My standard documentation rate is $45/hour; clients with an existing $30 therapy rate pay $30/hour, and agreed pro bono work remains free. We agree on the scope, estimate and spending cap before work begins. I provide clinically supported treatment documentation; I do not offer VA DBQs or formal nexus opinions.
Are you fighting anxiety, depression, profound life transitions like grief and loss, career shifts, addiction, or a newly diagnosed chronic/autoimmune medical condition?
Hi, I'm Raisa, an LCSW and VCU graduate specializing in anxiety, depressive disorders, and the mental impact of medical trauma. Having survived trauma in early life and personally navigating an autoimmune condition requiring chemically and biologically invasive treatments as an adult; I hold a deep, non-judgmental understanding of the profound toll chronic illness takes on your life and identity. I value the power of resilience and adaptation in humans. This lived experience equips me to help you process medical trauma holistically.
I provide warm, humanistic, virtual-only therapy tailored entirely to your unique story. As a South Asian person of color, I am verbally fluent in my native language, Bangla/Bengali, as well as Hindi, and some knowledge of Urdu. This background gives me deep insight into the unique cultural intersections that Asians can face in the Western world. Additionally, my professional background includes over 4.5 years of working in a jail, heavily highlighting my crisis intervention and suicidal/homicidal risk assessment skills while working directly with substance use and personality disorders.
By combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Dr. Kabat-Zinn's mindfulness models (MBSR/MBCT), we will unpack your experiences in partnership. My clinical approach prioritizes a strongly holistic treatment plan across all 4 Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual domains of life, adapted to your diagnoses. If desired, this is an opportunity to hone your spiritual practice and discipline—intentionally refining, practicing, and sharpening your daily habits to connect with something larger than yourself.
Together, we'll meet your needs, wants, and goals, by building practical tools to reclaim your peace, regain control, and thrive. Through unconditional regard and trust, I’m honored to stand by you and help re-discover the best version of yourself!
Reaching out for help is a big step. I appreciate your courage in leaning into growth and problem-solving! I am excited to get to know more about you and how I might be supportive. I operate from a strong relationally-based approach that is client-centered, solution-focused, and non-judgmental. I am very committed to building rapport, open communication, and assisting in helping you meet the goals you set, at the pace that you feel is appropriate. I believe in creating a nurturing, comfortable, and safe space for expression that promotes authentic exploration and insight.
To tell you a bit about myself, I have been an independently licensed social worker since 2013 (undergrad degree in psych from Wheaton College; master's degree in social work from University of New England). I spent much of my earlier professional career working with children and families, primarily within the confluence of mental health and education, before transitioning into private practice with adults. My clinical approach is crafted for the person in front of me, drawing influence from varying forms of therapy in a multi-modal approach.
My therapeutic skillset is strongest with individual challenges related to behavioral/emotional management (such as coping with strong feelings or life events and social/emotional/behavioral struggles), identity formation/re-formation/life transitions (exploring feelings of belonging, questions such as, "How do I figure out who I am/who I want to be/what I want to do with my life?"), and relational dynamics. I am also well-practiced in working with people who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma.
As stated above, it takes courage and strength in deciding to put the work into creating change in a positive direction. The fact that you are reading profiles is an accomplishment! I am here for you if/when you are ready, and look forward to celebrating your future achievements!

Hi! I'm Christy, and I'm a Therapist, Hypnotherapist, and an Energy Healer.
I fell in love with the idea of being a therapist in middle school and never wavered from that path. Through schooling and diverse professional experience, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor, a career I've taken seriously and loved for 25 years and counting. I've continued to learn and grow my healing toolkit with hypnotherapy, transpersonal psychology, spirituality, energy healing, somatic expression, and healing of my own personal traumas and experiences so that I can continue to offer more and more opportunities for growth for my clients. I take pride in my ability to relate to clients, listen with a non-judgmental ear, and provide the support and guidance needed for clients to improve their lives. In addition to traditional methods of counseling, I incorporate hypnotherapy, life coaching, empowerment techniques, relaxation and meditation, energy healing, transpersonal and spiritual therapy, and other modern and mystical techniques that challenge clients to grow in their lives. My passion is healing, growing, learning, shining my light, and supporting others to heal, grow, learn, and shine their light as well. Now that you know about me, I look forward to getting to know you too!
Since 2008, I have partnered with individuals to help them navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and achieve meaningful growth. My practice is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), delivered through a structured, collaborative, and goal-oriented approach. Together, we identify precisely where you are today, define clear outcomes for your therapy, uncover the internal and external obstacles standing in your way, and engineer a concrete, actionable plan to overcome those hurdles.
I view therapy as a true partnership. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to provide the framework, accountability, and clinical tools needed to move you forward. Crucially, I treat you as a whole person, taking a holistic approach that recognizes the deep, reciprocal relationship between physical and mental well-being. What happens in the body directly impacts the mind—from sleep, stress, and lifestyle factors to physical health—and addressing both is essential for lasting change.
In addition to my clinical background, I serve as a Field Artillery Officer in the Army National Guard. This military experience brings a grounded, pragmatic edge to my practice. It has sharpened my leadership skills, high-stakes decision-making, and ability to remain adaptable under pressure—qualities that directly inform my clinical effectiveness. Whether addressing burnout, navigating career or life transitions, or breaking through persistent behavioral loops, I offer a disciplined yet compassionate environment tailored to your objectives.
If you are ready to take an active, deliberate approach to your mental health and personal growth, I look forward to working alongside you to build the strategy that gets you there.
HI, I'm Kimberly.
My desire is to come alongside you in your healing journey. Instilling hope is an important part of my process, together with empowerment, encouragement and education.
My goal is to help you thrive instead of simply survive — to develop a greater understanding of yourself and feel more in control of your thoughts, emotions and responses.
I'm glad you're taking the time to explore mental health options for yourself, your family or someone you care about. And blessings on your journey.
Hi, I’m La’Kisha “Kisha” Jordan and I believe therapy is a healing space rooted in truth, transformation, and cultural connection. I work with teens, individuals, women, and families who are tired of just surviving and ready to start healing—for real. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, trauma, or just feeling lost in the noise of life, I hold space that is safe, soulful, and judgment-free.
My approach is eclectic and intuitive—I don’t just use one method because you’re not one-size-fits-all. I blend evidence-based techniques like CBT and DBT with creativity, storytelling, spirituality, and real talk. One session might include grounding and deep breathing; another might involve journaling, laughter, or hard truths said with love. I meet you where you are, and walk with you toward where you want to be.
I’m not just a therapist behind a desk—I’m a woman who’s lived, lost, loved, and learned. I see you. I hear you. And I believe in your ability to grow through what you go through.
Looking through these many profiles can be difficult and draining. Thanks for being here. If you are struggling and unable to control your worries or feeling anxious and as if your stress never eases up, I hope we connect. Overthinking tomorrow and replaying yesterday can be exhausting for any of us and can honestly feel like where we live in our minds. Anxiety steals valuable time from us and can cause incredible distress. Depression also robs us of time, and if you live with grief and loss, the pain may feel overwhelming and never ending. I serve individuals in Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Virginia and have many years of experience working with clients suffering with anxiety, many of whom have endured trauma, loss, and live with grief. I enjoy assisting all adults and have worked with many wonderful individuals in addressing life challenges, changes, and transitions. I know it can be especially difficult and uncomfortable to reach out and ask for help when you are already overwhelmed with a situation. I will always strive to provide a safe space for you to talk about whatever concerns are important to you. Some concerns are very private. I respect this and offer a supportive environment which is always free from judgement. I appreciate your time and hope you find who you need in these profiles.

Hi 👋🏽 I'm Dr. Judge! I specialize in supporting women and mothers through life's challenges, relationship concerns, and personal growth. This may include helping you manage anxiety, depression, mood swings, irritability, and burnout. Between motherhood, work, relationships, and the many responsibilities of everyday life, it's easy to lose sight of your own needs. Maybe you're navigating a new season of motherhood, trying to communicate more effectively in your relationships, working on setting boundaries, or simply wanting to feel more connected to yourself. I offer a warm, compassionate, faith-centered space where you can talk openly, gain perspective, and explore what matters most to you. You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Sometimes, having a space to think things through, understand yourself better, and consider new ways of approaching life's challenges can make a meaningful difference. My approach is relational, collaborative, and practical. I believe that feeling heard and understood is an important part of growth. Together, we explore your concerns, identify patterns, and develop strategies that support the life and relationships you want to build.

Hi, I'm Lindsay. I am here to help you on your healing journey. I believe that each and every person holds all of the wisdom they need to overcome life’s traumas directly within themselves. My job as a therapist is to help shine a light on your own inner wisdom, and guide you through the healing process in a safe, nonjudgmental space. I believe that when we approach life’s challenges with curiosity rather than criticism we are better able to reach a sense of peace and acceptance to some of lives most complex circumstances and hardships. I am passionate about helping my clients navigate their journey to their most authentic, free, and true selves. I believe that when we have the tools to attune ourselves to our mind, body and spirit we come home to ourselves. And when we are at home within ourselves, we are free.
Whether you are seeking to recover from narcissistic abuse, intimate partner violence, or family or childhood trauma, or you are struggling with a difficult life transition or depression, or anxiety. I will meet you exactly where you are. I believe that each individual is the expert on their own lives. My sole purpose as your therapist is to guide you with compassion and care to help you unlock your innate inner wisdom and equip you with the tools you need to overcome the trauma of your past.
I am dedicated to liberation therapy and I reject all systems of oppression including but not limited to white supremacy, racism, and sexism.
Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPCC) based in Kentucky but also have my Virginia License also (LPC). I received my Masters from Lindsey Wilson in 2018 and have been licensed since December 2021. I typically work with middle school age to young adults dealing with changes in life during major stages in their development. I try to help prepare clients to solve their own problems and build their own tool kits to stand on their own.
I have a special place in my work for people who are tired of always having to be the strong one, the person everyone calls, the person who handles everything, the person who looks fine on the outside but knows there's a lot going on underneath. If that sounds familiar, I want therapy to be one place where you don't have to keep that up. With me, you can talk like yourself. You can laugh, you can cry, you can say "I don't know." We'll start wherever you are and go from there.
Hi, I'm Keia, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Virginia and Texas, and founder of Beyond Your Reflection Counseling Services, LLC. I'm glad you found your way here, and I want you to know I'm not here to judge your story, I'm here to help you understand it, work through it, and decide what you want the next part of it to look like. I know people come to therapy for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes you know exactly what's wrong, and sometimes all you know is that something doesn't feel right anymore. Either way, you don't have to come into our first session with everything figured out. I've spent years working in community mental health, crisis intervention, and care management, supporting people through anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship concerns, and major life changes. I've learned that people don't always need someone telling them what they "should" be doing. They need someone who will really listen, understand what's happening, and help them figure out what comes next.
That's the kind of therapist I am.
CURRENTLY FULLY BOOKED FOR COUPLES SESSION! Thanks.
You look like you’re holding it together, but inside you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected. I help individuals and couples manage anxiety, burnout, relationship stress, and life transitions so they can feel calmer, more connected, more in control, and more like themselves. Over 130 clients have rated their experience working with me 4.9/5. My approach is supportive, practical, and focused on helping you create real change—not just talk about problems in a way that feels meaningful.
I am a LPC in VA and PA. I love what I do and I love helping clients. I have 6 little rescue dogs and one old lady cat. I am trained and certified in many different modalities. I am licensed in Maryland, DC, Virginia, Minnesota and Ohio.
Welcome!
The Ebbs and Flows of Life are something we all experience. We flow towards our hopes and dreams, while other times we may flow away. When your life ebbs it is like you are struggling against the current, and fighting your way through the current to grasp what is important to you. Perhaps the times you are flowing away are a result of relationship concerns, addiction, past trauma, anxiety or living with negativity. Like large rocks under the water, you may not be able to see them but they are creating obstacles in achieving your goals while potentially impacting both your health and well-being. I believe that by taking this step in seeking help you are interested in moving forward back to what is important to you. My role is to help you on your journey.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years of clinical experience specializing in relationships, emotional well-being, and personal growth. I work with women who are navigating difficult relationship decisions, questioning whether to stay or leave, or struggling with recurring patterns that leave them feeling uncertain about themselves and their relationships.
Many of the women I work with are facing broken trust, conflicting values, emotional disconnection, or significant life transitions. Others find themselves questioning their own judgment, struggling to establish boundaries, or wondering why they continue experiencing similar challenges in their relationships.
My therapeutic approach is relational, attachment-based, and psychodynamic, incorporating somatic, narrative, and feminist perspectives. I help clients explore the emotional experiences, relationship dynamics, and personal or cultural expectations that influence their choices. My goal is to help women develop greater self-awareness, strengthen their capacity to trust themselves, and make decisions that reflect their needs and values.
I hold master’s degrees in Couples and Family Therapy and Medical Anthropology and Mental Health. My work is grounded in the belief that meaningful change involves not only understanding our patterns but also developing the emotional capacity to respond differently.

I’m Dr. Dañel Whitehead, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, clinical supervisor, and founder of The Mental Wellness Collective, a virtual group practice. I hold a doctorate in professional counseling, and I’m licensed in six states.
I work with individuals who hold everything together for everyone else while feeling anxious, depleted, or unsure of who they are outside of their roles. My sessions are warm and direct. I listen closely, I tell the truth, and I help you trace the patterns underneath, like people-pleasing, overthinking, and self-doubt, so you can build something steadier.
My approach is practical and collaborative. I mainly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), tailored to your goals. At The Mental Wellness Collective, our aim is simple: Support that fits into a full life and leads to real, lasting change.
I have been practicing in the field for over 10 years. I have co-facilitated men’s group, spoken at conferences, adolescent consults and individual therapy. I use a lot of Cognitive behavioral therapy which means will process triggers, emotions, hobbies, good times , coping skills and any event that you deem important. Therapy is all about you and helping you meet short/long term goals. You got this.
Do you ever feel stressed out or on edge? Do your thoughts seem to spin out of control or lead to fear of future situations? Does that worry prevent you from being present in the moment or keep you from getting restful sleep at night? If you are ready to regain control of your thoughts and live a more present and fulfilled life then you have come to the right place.
Hi! I’m Sarah Theimer, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Virginia. I am also a Christian and the proud wife of a first responder. I provide anxiety and trauma treatment, helping adults breakthrough the cycle of worry and trauma to live a more present and fulfilled life. To help you reach your goals, I use a two-fold approach by teaching you tools to help cope with everyday stressors and manage the intensity of emotions while exploring past experiences which have/are impacting the way you currently feel/behave. As a therapist, I strongly believe in exploring past hurts and experiences to help you better understand what led you to this point and assist in treating the root causes of the anxiety. I aim to keep sessions goal oriented and structured to assist individuals in meeting their goals.

Hi, my name is Stephen
As a Christian do you ever feel like you are letting God down, or like you are not being faithful enough because you have real-life problems? Problems In your relationship, emotionally, behaviorally, or even with substance abuse.
Is it hard to be kind to yourself?
I help individuals manage their anxiety, depression, or burnout by addressing the needs of your body, mind, and spirit using the bible. I integrate current counseling theories with sound biblical principles to help develop a stronger relationship with God, and a stronger you.
Whether you are dealing with being overwhelmed, relationship issues, or cycles of anxiety and depression, I am here to help.
Seeking therapy can seem scary and maybe even against some of the teachings you've learned in church, but you are making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together I will meet with you, and your spouse if you want, with compassion and evidence-based techniques while using biblical principles so you can overcome the hang-ups and habits holding you back. The research says that 1 in 4 people in the United States, at any given time, have mental health issues. This does not exclude the church. The average church in Virginia has 250 members attending on any given Sunday. That means that at least fifty people in your church service last Sunday are struggling with some type of mental illness or emotional problem. I work with churches to help them with ministering to the hurting, please let me help you.
Welcome—I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Nancy Paz Welsh, a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual therapy to adults throughout Maryland, Virginia, and Illinois.
My approach is shaped by both my personal and professional experiences. Throughout my career, I’ve also had the privilege of supporting people from diverse backgrounds, communities, and stages of life. I strive to create an inclusive space where every part of your story is welcomed, respected, and understood.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. You may feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from yourself, or caught in patterns that no longer serve you. Therapy can offer a place to slow down, better understand yourself, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
My therapeutic style is warm, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and collaborative. Our conversations may feel natural and approachable, but they will also have purpose and direction. I offer compassion alongside gentle accountability, helping you recognize unhelpful patterns, strengthen coping skills, and make choices that align with your values. We’ll work at a pace that feels manageable while remaining focused on meaningful and lasting growth.
Starting therapy may feel daunting, but you don’t have to have everything figured out before taking the first step. Come as you are, and together we’ll work toward greater understanding, healing, and meaningful change. It would be an honor to support you along the way!
Do you feel like you're just existing in life? Have you lost your sense of self or identity? Throughout this journey called life, obstacles, stressors, and disappointments contribute to feeling the "blahs." Often, when not addressed, these stressors can lead to depression, anxiety, a loss of self-identity, and low self-esteem. Therapy with me can help you reclaim your confidence, improve your self-esteem, and foster a meaningful relationship with yourself and others without compromising your daily activities.
Hi, I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia with 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I specialize in depression and anxiety, burnout, and self-esteem concerns while providing education and developing practical coping skills. My counseling style utilizes various therapeutic approaches and theories to promote positive outcomes.
As a neurodivergent Black woman living with a chronic illness and mother of three adult children, two of whom identify with the LGBTQ+ commmunity, I am always interested in the deeper question people carry about their lives. Many of the individuals I work with are thoughtful, capable people who have spent years showing up for others, meeting expectations, and doing what seemed like the responsible thing to do. At some point, though, many begin to notice a quiet sense that something no longer fits.
My work centers around helping people slow down enough to understand what is actually happening beneath that feeling. Together we look at the patterns, experiences, and internal narratives that shape how you see yourself and the choices available to you. From that place, people often begin to rediscover a clearer sense of who they are and what direction their lives might take moving forward.
I am especially drawn to working with adults navigating identity shifts, relationship transitions, and moments in life where the path forward is no longer obvious.
Hi! I'm Alexis and I am glad you are here. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in the DMV with over 12 years of experience and I've worked with individuals navigating a wide range of concerns from anxiety and relationship trauma to life transitions and unexpected turns.
I’ve earned a Master's in Mental Health Counseling and a Nonprofit Management, and that dual background shapes how I work. I care about outcomes as much as I care about the therapeutic process which means you'll leave sessions with more than just insight. You'll leave with practical methods to apply to your everyday life.

I have spent the last 6 years working in substance use and mental health treatment and have had the privilege of meeting and working with adolescents, young adults, and adults in individual, group, and family settings.

You might be my ideal client if you’re tired of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like you have to figure everything out on your own. Whether you’re navigating relationships, life changes, anxiety, self-doubt, or simply wondering, “What now?”—you’re welcome here.

My name is Dominique Squire, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. At A Ray of Light, PLLC, I provide trauma-informed, holistic mental health care for individuals seeking balance, clarity, and emotional stability. My work is grounded in evidence-based therapy while honoring the connection between the mind, body, and spirit.
I believe healing is not about fixing what’s broken, it’s about creating safety, regulation, and understanding so growth can happen naturally. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in survival mode. My role is to offer a supportive, compassionate space where clients can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and build sustainable coping skills.
My approach integrates traditional therapeutic methods with nervous-system-informed practices that support emotional regulation and self-awareness. All care is collaborative, client-centered, and respectful of each individual’s values and beliefs. I do not impose spiritual or personal viewpoints; instead, I support clients in finding what feels grounding and aligned for them.
Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, or the impact of trauma, therapy can be a place to regain stability and rediscover hope. Hi, I’m Jina, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides warm, compassionate, and individualized therapy for adults 18 and older. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia with a master’s degree from Liberty University and more than 11 years of experience in the mental health field. I provide Christian counseling for adults who want to integrate their faith into the therapeutic process, with a focus on anxiety, life challenges, women's issues, relationships, and healthy boundaries. My approach is compassionate, practical, and grounded in helping clients develop effective coping skills and move forward with greater confidence and emotional well-being.
If you’ve spent a long time feeling unseen, overwhelmed, or weighed down by things from your past, therapy can be a place to start understanding how those experiences have shaped you. I don’t believe therapy is just about getting rid of symptoms. Sometimes the things we struggle with can tell us a lot about ourselves, including what we need and what may be ready to change.
I tend to be pretty active in sessions. I’m not someone who is just going to sit back and listen while you do all of the talking. I’ll share what I’m noticing, help you make connections, and give you things to think about or work on between sessions. I’m also interested in the deeper questions that can come up in therapy, like meaning, identity, intuition, and figuring out who you really are underneath all of the expectations and experiences that have shaped you.
Ultimately, I want therapy to help you feel more like yourself, not less.
Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Virginia. I received my Masters from Radford University in 2016 and have been practicing for about 10 years. I help adults who are struggling with different issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, low self-esteem, etc. find an improved quality of life. No problem is too big or small to talk about.
Hi there! Let's sit and chat...
Are you looking for a safe space to explore and organize your thoughts and feelings?
Many people see therapy as a one-sided conversation, with little opportunity for interaction or getting to experience one another as real people. I can assure you our sessions will be as real as it gets!
I want to help you achieve whatever solutions and life changes you are looking for. We'll work on building trust and a sense of safety, using open communication and humor, to identify how we can improve on your already existing coping skills, supports, and knowledge. Although this process may be challenging, we will work to enjoy the process as much as possible, so you can experience yourself, your relationships, and your life in new ways. Simply put, I don't think therapy has to be a painful thing for you. Starting this step can be hard and I would love the opportunity to work with you on this journey.
For Private Pay Clients:
Individual Sessions: $190/hour
Couple/Family Sessions: $230/hour
**All couples and families are seen via private pay. This allows us to focus on the relationships in the room, rather than the diagnosis of an individual.
**For those out of network, should you meet criteria for a diagnosis accepted by insurance companies, I can provide monthly superbills that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Please note that the payments received by the insurance provider as reimbursement may not cover the full service fee and I cannot guarantee reimbursement.

I also integrate alternative and mind body methods that expand healing beyond traditional talk therapy, supporting both emotional and physiological well-being.
I practice from an intersectional perspective, recognizing that our identities; race, gender, sexuality, neurotype, ability, culture, and lived experience intersect to shape how we move through the world and how the world responds to us. Healing requires honoring all of those parts.
I believe neurodivergence is not something to be fixed, but understood, supported, and celebrated. Therapy is a space to learn your brain, not fight against it, to understand how it works, and build systems of support that honor your authentic wiring.
I'm so glad you are here! Having been in the very same spot you are in seeking therapy, I know how first-hand how hard it can be to take this first step.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Virginia. I received my Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have worked in behavioral health and healthcare arenas for over thirty years. This includes experience in oncology, hospice care and all the aspects of providing social support in a Level I trauma center. Over the past few years I have focused exclusively on the provision of therapy for individual adult clients of all ages and walks of life.
Hello! My name is Meredith. I am an LPC, and have been in private practice since 2021. I am deeply passionate about what I do and I'm so glad to be getting started on Grow. As a therapist, I intentionally try to bring my most genuine and authentic self to my clients. I know how crucial this is as the basis of a productive working relationship. My sessions are primarily client-led, meaning I will prioritize what feels most prescient to you on a given day, and meet you where you are. At the same time, I will help ensure that we are consistently working toward your specific goals. I feel that the best therapeutic outcomes come from the most secure and trusting counseling relationships, and that is what I try to provide. It is probably also important for any potential client to know that my office will always be a safe space for all, regardless of belonging to any underserved, disenfranchised community.
When I am not at work, I love cooking, all things macabre and scary- books, movies, podcasts, and I love reading and hanging out with my family. I am passionate about all kinds of art and the written word. I recently took up archery, and it is a great outlet. Otherwise, I am an indoor type of gal, especially in the summer. I am quick to laugh, and will often crack a joke at my own expense.
I have over 25 years of experience working with teens, adults, families, and couples in multiple community-based settings and agencies. I have been a licensed therapist since 2016 and I hold an Ed.S in counseling from Hampton University. I employ a holistic approach, incorporating several research-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. My approach is warm, collaborative, non-judgmental and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence-based practices to help reduce emotional stress and build resilience, while ensuring you feel truly seen, heard and supported. Reach out today to start the journey. Let’s work together to help you find the balance and peace you deserve.
I am currently accepting new clients for individual sessions via teletherapy.
I have been practicing as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida for the past 25 years and am also a Licensed Therapist in Virginia, largely with a focus in the areas of trauma, depression, anxiety, emotion regulation, relationship conflict, and self-esteem. I feel many of the responses we struggle with are connected to a traumatic event (or perceived trauma) from the past. Currently, my primary focus has been in the individual realm, with a focus on relationship growth.
I will encourage you to prioritize the areas you wish to address in therapy and tailor my approach on an individual basis. I believe in client autonomy so the areas that are addressed are the areas you want to address.
I draw on several treatment modalities (including, but not limited to, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy) to allow you to further develop your strengths and help you meet all of your treatment plan goals at a speed that works best for you. I also have completed training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy as well as the Developmental Model for Couples and integrate both of these approaches into my relational therapy practice.
Overall, I help you to see that managing the stressor is more important than just managing the stress as it will allow you to cope with anything that comes your way.
I graduated Eastern Michigan University with a major in psychology and a minor in nutrition in 2007. I completed my PhD program at the University of Detroit Mercy in 2014. During that time period I worked with patients in outpatient and inpatient settings including the University psychology clinic, Wayne State Family Medicine Center, Providence Alaska Family Medicine Center, and Providence Alaska inpatient services.I’m a clinical psychologist (PhD) specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, and the mind–body impact of stress. My approach is warm, relational, and psychodynamic — I help you understand not just what you’re feeling, but why it keeps happening.
Many of my clients come to me after trying short-term or skills-only therapy and not feeling truly understood. Together, we look at the deeper patterns shaped by past experiences, trauma, and relationships. This includes medical trauma, chronic illness, health anxiety, and eating issues rooted in shame or self-criticism.
I offer teletherapy to adults who want thoughtful, insight-oriented work that leads to lasting change.
Hi all, I am a talk therapist that works on providing a non-judgmental and safe place to discuss stressors.
I use Person Centered, mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with an eclectic and holistic approach with my clients. **I incorporate dream interpretations, astrology, and tarot in sessions.** I will work with you and your chart to help you find ways to overcome challenges and find ways to balance your life.
I am Sarah, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and the owner and director of Serenity Psychotherapy Group. I earned my graduate degree from the Catholic University of America and have spent the past decade providing evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples, and families. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace. During our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your concerns, identify your goals, and begin building a therapeutic relationship based on trust and collaboration. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, or a major life transition, you can expect a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and understood.
Clients shouldn't have to be in therapy forever! Together, we'll co-create a balanced approach combining active listening with practical techniques, helping you reclaim your narrative and overcome obstacles. My clinical and holistic approach aims for deeper alignment and fulfillment—think more water, less soda.
As an LCSW, I'm trained in EMDR, certified in Theta Healing, Reiki, Transformational Life Coaching, and Therapeutic Touch, and am a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Hypnotherapy, and Time Line Therapy. I provide a compassionate, judgment-free space to explore your wants, needs, and emotions. You know yourself best, and our work is about uncovering your truths rather than imposing mine.
Together, we'll determine the tools and approaches that best suit your needs, ensuring you feel heard, validated, and empowered. The goal is to help you confidently manage challenges independently over time. We'll walk side-by-side, with you gradually taking the lead and me offering steady support. If you have pressing concerns, those always take precedence.
Our sessions focus on understanding HOW you think, not just WHAT you think, exploring both conscious and unconscious beliefs and emotions. You'll leave with clear, actionable steps, such as mindfulness exercises, creative writing prompts, meditation, and breathwork techniques to regulate emotions and reclaim your narrative.
Therapy isn't about fixing what's "broken" but enhancing alignment and fulfillment while overcoming obstacles. By focusing on your goals and measuring progress, we can eliminate stigma, leaving shame behind and empowering you toward greater self-awareness and fulfillment.

If you can read this, you made the first step. Congratulations. Seeking therapy is hard. Most people delay and tell themselves that whatever they are experiencing must be the way life is. Chances are if you have reached the point to begin exploring therapy, counseling can help make your life better. While therapy is often hard, it can be an enjoyable and uplifting experience as well. I believe that you cannot laugh without a combination of insight and relief. You can expect some humor in most sessions.
I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 20 years. In that time I have worked with men, women, teens, and families on a wide variety of issues. Sometimes that work simply involved helping them through a particular incident or life change that overwhelmed them. Other times our work together centered around longstanding issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction.
In addition to traditional cognitive behavioral therapy, I also offer a fourth-wave therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I have found this technique to be highly effective in helping people with trauma and or anxiety. Our minds and bodies are connected. Anyone who has experienced a tight neck and shoulders or an upset stomach when they were stressed knows this. EFT uses acupressure (done by the client) and cognitive interventions to provide fast and effective relief.
With over 20 years of clinical experience, I am ready to help you through the challenges you are facing. In addition to counseling, I also provide vocational testing, coaching, and consulting.
I provide both Christian and secular counseling depending on the needs of my clients.
For clients with high level confidentiality concerns due to corporate or clearance issues, there are ways we can do EFT without you ever speaking out loud about events.
