Hi, I’m La’Kisha “Kisha” Jordan and I believe therapy is a healing space rooted in truth, transformation, and cultural connection. I work with teens, individuals, women, and families who are tired of just surviving and ready to start healing—for real. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, trauma, or just feeling lost in the noise of life, I hold space that is safe, soulful, and judgment-free. My approach is eclectic and intuitive—I don’t just use one method because you’re not one-size-fits-all. I blend evidence-based techniques like CBT and DBT with creativity, storytelling, spirituality, and real talk. One session might include grounding and deep breathing; another might involve journaling, laughter, or hard truths said with love. I meet you where you are, and walk with you toward where you want to be. I’m not just a therapist behind a desk—I’m a woman who’s lived, lost, loved, and learned. I see you. I hear you. And I believe in your ability to grow through what you go through.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, expect a real, honest, and judgment-free conversation. No stiff clinical vibes here—I create a space where you can breathe, be yourself, and start unpacking what’s been heavy. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, explore your goals, and get to know each other at a comfortable pace. I’ll ask some questions to understand your story, your struggles, and your strengths—but I’ll also listen deeply, because you are the expert on your life. This session isn’t about fixing everything at once—it’s about building trust, feeling seen, and laying the foundation for healing work that fits you. I’ll explain how I work, answer any questions, and we’ll co-create a plan for moving forward that honors your voice, your culture, and your truth. Whether you’re walking in with hesitation or hope (or both), you can expect to leave that first session with a little more clarity—and the sense that you're no longer facing it all alone.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets my approach apart is that I combine clinical expertise with deep cultural understanding, intuition, and lived experience. I’m not a therapist who just sits back and nods—I show up fully, engage with intention, and meet you with both compassion and accountability. My style is eclectic, soulful, and grounded—I use what works for you, whether that’s CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, expressive arts, mindfulness, or just a real, unfiltered conversation. Clients often tell me they feel more seen, heard, and understood in our sessions than they ever have before. That’s not by accident—it’s because I build relationships first. I don’t treat symptoms in a vacuum; I work with the whole person—your story, your culture, your energy, and your goals. I’ve helped teens turn emotional shutdowns into self-expression, mothers reclaim their identity after years of people-pleasing, and families break long-standing communication patterns. The work is deep, but it’s also empowering, affirming, and sometimes even joyful. When you sit with me, you're not just starting therapy. You're stepping into a space where healing is sacred, growth is possible, and your truth is always welcome.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to serve clients who are ready to do the real work—even if they’re nervous, even if they’re tired, even if they’ve been dismissed before. I work especially well with teens trying to find their voice, Black women carrying the weight of everyone else’s expectations, and families stuck in cycles of miscommunication, conflict, and hurt. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, low self-worth, or relationship stress, I meet you without judgment and help you unpack what’s beneath the surface. My clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or misunderstood—and leave our sessions with greater clarity, tools for emotional regulation, and the confidence to reclaim their peace. I work well with people who value honest conversation, cultural understanding, and creative approaches to healing. If you’ve ever thought, “I don’t want just another therapist who checks the boxes—I want someone who gets me,” then we’ll likely be a great fit.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I practice from an eclectic therapeutic framework, meaning I doesn’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to healing. Instead, I intuitively blends a variety of evidence-based modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed care—with holistic and culturally relevant techniques. Whether it’s using mindfulness with a teen, journaling and narrative work with a mother, art and music therapy for self-expression, or a good old-fashioned heart-to-heart, I tailor each session to the needs of the individual. I believe the most powerful therapy happens when science, culture, and lived experience meet. My clients often say they feel seen, heard, and understood in a way they never have before—because I bring my full self into the room: professional, relatable, and real.
