What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, my main goal is to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable opening up at your own pace. I strongly believe in allowing clients to guide the direction of our work, as you are the expert of your own experience. We'll begin by getting to know each other a bit. I'll ask some questions to understand what has brought you in to therapy and what your goals are. I'm interested in learning about your background, relationships, daily life, and the challenges you're facing. This will help us to work together to set goals and a tailored plan for us to work through in follow up sessions.

I use compassion, empathy, and validation for all of my clients. I also work closely with clients to reframe their experiences to reduce distress and promote healing, growth, and resilience.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Compassion Focused

We'll use CFT to help you cultivate a compassionate inner voice that counteracts harsh self-criticism and shame. By developing a nurturing, caring mindset towards yourself and others, you'll learn to respond to life's challenges with greater kindness, wisdom, and emotional balance.

Humanistic

With a deep commitment to the humanistic approach, I strive to understand and nurture the unique essence of each individual. My practice is grounded in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and a belief in your innate capacity for growth and self-actualization. Together, we'll embark on a journey of self-discovery, fostering your inherent strengths and potential for personal fulfillment.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I provide a safe and supportive environment to process and overcome the impact of traumatic experiences. Through evidence-based techniques, we'll work collaboratively to challenge distorted beliefs, develop coping strategies, and regain a sense of empowerment and healing. My goal is to help you reclaim your narrative and move forward with renewed strength and resilience.
