New to Grow
I work with individuals 16 and older, offering a supportive, collaborative space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered. My approach is personalized and practical, blending mindfulness and tailored coping tools with thoughtful reflection to help clients navigate challenges, build insight, and create meaningful, long-lasting change. In our first session together, here's what you can expect
We will start where you are and take things at the pace you are comfortable with. You can tell me as much or as little as you would like! If you're not sure where to begin, no worries, I am here to guide you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe in therapy feeling "human" rather than overly rigid. I find most of my clients appreciate my realness and relatability. For example, appropriate humor can be a powerful tool for connection and healing. While sessions may feel natural and conversational, we remain intentional and goal-focused, always working toward growth and positive change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are those who are seeking a trusted space to better understand themselves and their experience. I prioritize active listening, followed by thoughtful questioning to assist clients in arriving at their own realizations and solutions while gently challenging to reflect, gain insight, increase self awareness and foster empowerment.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I mainly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which is a form of talk therapy. We will take a look at how your thoughts and emotions are impacting your behaviors and then identify root causes and triggers in order to shift negative thoughts to positive ones. From there, we incorporate tailored coping tools and techniques that apply to your specific needs.
Psychodynamic
Through our conversations together, we will uncover which unconscious experiences, emotions, and earlier life experiences shape present day behavior, personality, and mental health.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I encourage present-moment awareness to help clients better their relationship with difficult emotions, thoughts, and feelings, rather than trying to eliminate them. This works to create non-judgmental acceptance to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and more. For example, this can look like a breathing exercise or bringing focus to your five senses.
Strength-Based
I use this method to highlight client's resources, strengths, and positive qualities in order to cultivate personal growth and resilience. The goal is to empower clients to see themselves as capable and experts in their own lives, helping them to identify and utilize their already existing skills to overcome challenges, improve self-esteem, and build positive thinking patterns.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
This method is rooted in Attachment Theory. I assist clients in forming stronger connections by understanding and changing emotional patterns. The focus is on identifying needs to create secure attachments, accessing and expressing deeper emotions, and creating new positive cycles to build trust with others and enter healthier relationships.
