LCSW, 8 years of experience
New to Grow
Are you struggling with recent life transitions, feeling overwhelmed by daily stress, or facing emotional challenges that feel too heavy to carry alone? If so, I can help. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia. I specialize in helping adults navigate the challenges of anxiety, depression, and life transitions. With a compassionate and person centered approach, I work collaboratively with individuals to understand their unique struggles and develop strategies to improve their mental and emotional well-being. Whether you are coping with overwhelming stress, grappling with feelings of sadness, or navigating a significant life change, I provide a safe and supportive space to explore your experiences and build resilience. My therapeutic style is rooted in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based approaches, all tailored to meet your specific needs.
During your first session we will discuss your reason for seeking counseling as well as your expectations. At that time, we will discuss what your personal goals are for counseling and what you hope to accomplish throughout this journey. We will work at your own pace towards accomplishing those goals.
My clients describe me as genuine, caring, and encouraging. They value the way I create a space where they can feel safe to be themselves while also feeling guided toward growth and healing.
Many of the people I see are going through life transitions—like changes in relationships, career shifts, or simply adjusting to a new phase of life. These moments can bring both growth and stress, and I enjoy helping clients find clarity, strength, and balance as they move forward.
I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel truly heard and understood. With compassion and respect, I walk alongside you as you explore your feelings, discover your strengths, and move toward growth and healing.
With SFBT, I focus on your strengths, resources, and what’s already working in your life. Our conversations will highlight your goals and create small, meaningful steps that move you toward the changes you want to see.
I use CBT to gently explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Together, we’ll work on shifting unhelpful patterns and building practical tools that support confidence, balance, and a greater sense of well-being.
I offer EMDR as a way to help you safely process painful or overwhelming experiences. This approach can ease the weight of past memories and open the door to healing, resilience, and a calmer sense of self.
