Hi there! Let's sit and chat... Are you looking for a safe space to explore and organize your thoughts and feelings? Many people see therapy as a one-sided conversation, with little opportunity for interaction or getting to experience one another as real people. I can assure you our sessions will be as real as it gets! I want to help you achieve whatever solutions and life changes you are looking for. We'll work on building trust and a sense of safety, using open communication and humor, to identify how we can improve on your already existing coping skills, supports, and knowledge. Although this process may be challenging, we will work to enjoy the process as much as possible, so you can experience yourself, your relationships, and your life in new ways. Simply put, I don't think therapy has to be a painful thing for you. Starting this step can be hard and I would love the opportunity to work with you on this journey. For Private Pay Clients: Individual Sessions: $190/hour Couple/Family Sessions: $230/hour **All couples and families are seen via private pay. This allows us to focus on the relationships in the room, rather than the diagnosis of an individual. **For those out of network, should you meet criteria for a diagnosis accepted by insurance companies, I can provide monthly superbills that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Please note that the payments received by the insurance provider as reimbursement may not cover the full service fee and I cannot guarantee reimbursement.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We'll start by discussing where you're at in your life. Where do you live, how do you spend your days? We'll talk about what brings you joy, as well as what doesn't. Where are you stuck? We're going to dissect some of your thoughts, feelings, and patterns to understand why they're there. This will make it easier to find out where the change needs to happen, and how we can get it started.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

During the 10+ years as a therapist, I have enjoyed helping individuals, couples, and families find healing and understanding in their worlds. Changing the way we view ourselves and the world around us can be a difficult journey, and I am committed to helping you every step of the way.

My treatment methods

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I have been extensively trained in EFT to work with individuals, couples, and families. Based on attachment science, we'll use EFT to work on restructuring emotional experiences and interactions, changing the core organizing factors in both the self and your key relationships.

Couples Counseling

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I've had the pleasure of working with couples in all stages of their relationships. Couples sessions will begin with our initial meeting, then I'll meet with each person individually to gather information about personal perspectives (but, no secret keeping!), and then continue our sessions with all of us to explore the dynamic of the relationship, what we would like to see change, and figure out how we can grow.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution Focused Brief Treatment (SFBT) is a goal-focused, short-term approach which helps you change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems. This process will help you identify and explore previous “exceptions,” (times when you have successfully coped with or addressed previous difficulties and challenges) and discover ways these can be incorporated in establishing goals to achieve between sessions.
