Hello, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I am passionate about working with individuals in creating generational healing within themselves and their families. I believe any healing starts within ourselves and identifying our own patterns and behaviors. The relationship we have with ourself has the power to transform our lives for the better and also improve relationships with those in our lives. I emphasize both in therapy. I approach therapy with a humanistic, client-centered, holistic and goal-oriented lens, focusing on reconnecting back to the self.

Linehan Board-Certified DBT Specialist | Holistic Wellness Advocate
Clinical Expertise & Background
With 25 years of clinical experience, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s complexities with balance and resilience. I am a Linehan Board-Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist (DBT), a credential that reflects my deep commitment to providing the highest standard of evidence-based care.
My academic foundation began at St. Louis University (MO), where I earned both my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and my Master of Social Work. This rigorous training, combined with decades of practice, allows me to offer a space that is as clinically sound as it is compassionate and nonjudgmental.
My Approach
I provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy for adolescents and adults (ages 16+). My style is warm, collaborative, and deeply respectful of your unique journey. I specialize in integrating DBT strategies to help you overcome barriers and build a life that feels truly worth living.
A Holistic Perspective
I believe that mental health is inextricably linked to physical well-being. When I’m not in the clinician’s chair, I’m likely moving. I am certified in spinning/cycling and have a deep passion for power walking, latin dance, yoga, and Pilates. This personal commitment to the mind-body connection informs my therapeutic perspective—I understand the discipline and rhythm required to foster lasting change.
The "Co-Therapist"
Healing often comes in small, furry packages. I have a 6-year-old toy Yorkie who frequently joins me. While he isn’t a registered service dog, he is an expert in providing comfort and a calming presence. He is available to join our sessions upon request (and rest assured, he is excellent at maintaining client confidentiality).
Languages & Inclusion:
My native language is English and I am proficient in Farsi. I warmly welcome Farsi-speaking clients to my practice.
As a Caribbean immigrant of Afro-Indian descent, I am a culturally sensitive counselor whose work is deeply inspired by diverse faith, culture, and communal values. I strive to provide a transparent, warm, and nonjudgmental environment where every individual feels safe and seen.
Over the past decade, I have dedicated my practice to supporting culturally diverse and underserved populations and/or those who may feel overlooked or misunderstood. My approach is rooted in active listening and tailored feedback; I do not view myself as an expert in a client's life, but rather as an objective, supportive collaborator. I treat every situation as unique, developing personalized treatment goals that prioritize the individual’s specific journey and well-being.
Hello and welcome to the next stage of your mental health journey! I would be honored to be a part of your healing transformation, and look forward to helping you celebrate all of your progress. My name is Heather, and I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist serving children, teens, adults, couples, and even entire families. My background includes extensive training in Grief/Loss, major life transitions, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, and lots of couples work! I show up authentic, genuine, open, honest, and generally rooting for you with all of my being. I am compassionate about the work that I do and my clients wellbeing means the world to me.
I believe that even in the middle of a crisis, there is a real opportunity for growth. My path began in the theater and the study of Method Acting. This discipline focuses on how internal experience drives outward behavior. I apply this "inside-out" perspective to help you align your internal reality with your external actions. My way of working has evolved over time. I attended top universities and training programs. I was mentored by experts in the origins of trauma, addictions, and relationship difficulties. This foundation allowed me to build a successful group practice in Orange County. During that time, I taught at UC Irvine, chaired the Professional Practice Committee of the Orange County Psychological Association, and sat on its Board of Directors. In the midst of this success, I experienced a personal crisis and divorce. This led me on my own journey of growth. I began an extensive study of Buddhism and meditation which now guides how I live. I spent seven years living in Asia, where I studied with monks and cared for villagers.
What I offer now is an integration of strong academic training and Eastern teachings. My decision to become a psychologist grew from a desire to relieve suffering and transform challenges into opportunities for growth. I combine empirical psychological methods with the cultivation of an "awakened heart"—a state of genuine presence and social connection. I work to bridge the gap between where you are now and where you want to be
I grew up in Europe, graduated from Pepperdine University in 2007 with MA in clinical Psychology, in practice since then. Married, father of 2.
Life can be challenging and certainly has its ups and downs. I strive to assist clients in gaining awareness, understanding, and control over their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through exploration, self-reflection, and insight, I work with clients and provide the space that is necessary to process, gain insight, and achieve desired change.
I am a child and adolescent psychologist with over 16 years of experience in treatment of youth ages 7-18 who have experienced trauma, adverse experiences, and/or stressful or challenging life events. My focus is to help clients be their own agents of change to help them move forward, empower them to gain control over trauma reactions, and foster their resilience. I focus on evidence-based approaches to treat trauma, PTSD/complex PTSD, and associated symptoms, and adjust treatment according to the client's specific needs.
I treat trauma related symptoms and reactions stemming from a wide range of stressful events including physical or sexual abuse or assault; maltreatment or neglect; domestic or community violence; motor vehicle accidents; serious injuries; natural disasters; grief or loss; medical trauma and more.
Prior to private practice, I was a Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford where I directed the Stress and Resilience Clinic. I was part of the development team for Cue-Centered Therapy (CCT), an intervention combining cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) with an insight-based approach for youth with complex trauma. I provide teaching and training both nationally and internationally.
Maya Peters is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in the field of mental health. At 18 I was blessed to have a therapist who knew exactly how to talk to me and what to say, even if he was injecting humor into a humorless situation. I help my clients to let the trust and rapport build over the first few session, during which I start to pick the tools I'll use to stabilize and then engage in a more meaningful, psychodynamic way. I am a Rogerian and Existential therapist, which translates into unconditional positive regard for my clients, the action of highlighting any success, even if it's a small one, and building on pre-existing strengths. I am meeting my clients where they're at - wherever they are on life's journey, and my intention is to travel down that road along with them, opening each door, witnessing the pain, but always experiencing these challenges together so that the therapist is holding the space and creating a safe parameter within which symptoms, cognitive distortions, and trauma can be processed. I encourage clients to show up for their appointments as continuity is key to success when dealing with mental health issues.
As a seasoned clinician, I specialize in helping clients find steadiness during times of uncertainty. I bring a mindful, practical, and collaborative style to therapy, helping you slow down, make sense of your experiences, and build the skills and confidence needed to create meaningful change. My goal is to offer a grounded, compassionate space where you can reconnect with your strengths and move toward a life that feels more aligned and intentional.

Hi, I'm Juliana! I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2014; graduated from Cal State Northridge in 2008. I value the importance of human connection and collaboration. I have degrees in Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy. Following college I gained experience to become a licensed therapist at a non-profit setting. In this setting I supported a wide range of populations such as, teens, adults, families and couples. While gaining knowledge about various mental health needs such as anxiety, OCD, and eating disorders, I learned that the populations I enjoy helping the most consist of couples and individuals struggling with relational trauma. I enjoy continuously learning about new advances in the mental health field and stay well connected to this information and other therapists within my role as Secretary for the Sacramento Valley California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. I have learned to use Emotionally Focused Therapy, Brainspotting for trauma processing, trauma informed care and other evidence based therapies to help my clients reach their goals during our time together.

These diverse experiences have helped me discover what I value most in my work: making a meaningful difference in the lives of the people I serve. I offer a space where your pain can soften, your story can unfold gently, and you can be met with warmth and compassion without judgment. I draw from CBT, TF-CBT, MI, mindfulness, and person-centered, holistic practices — not as rigid techniques, but as tools we weave into the moments when you need grounding, clarity, or a way to steady yourself. Over time, your voice gets stronger. Your patterns make more sense. And the parts of you that learned to survive begin to feel safe enough to soften.

Licensed in California since 2005, I work with adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety or depression, trauma, substance use concerns, relationship challenges, and major life transitions.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I value spending time outdoors, staying physically active, and being present with my family. I’m a father of five—one son and four daughters, including two stepdaughters—which has given me a deep, lived understanding of blended family dynamics, parenting, and the complexities of family relationships across different stages of development. Hello and welcome! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist (LMFT) based in California. I received my Masters Degree from Phillips Graduate Institute and have been providing therapeutic services in a variety of settings with multiple populations for over 14 years.
With years of experience in the field, I bring a deep understanding of the complexities of human relationships and the impact they have on your overall well-being. I draw from evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, attachment and family systems theory, to help you navigate through your challenges and achieve the outcomes you desire. In our sessions, we will work collaboratively to explore your concerns, uncover underlying patterns, and develop practical strategies for overcoming obstacles.
I am not taking Couples, but I am taking individuals that are or are not in a relationship and need help. We were never taught how to be in a relationship of any kind. Yes there are tons of books of how to, however to put them to practical use can be very difficult. This can also relate to a relationship with a family member, friends or co-workers.
Sometimes our own mental health can influence all of our relationships, and you may need coping techniques for anxiety and or depression type symptoms. I will work with you individually to help you gain insight to your own behavior that may be influencing your relationship.
I am here to help beit coping strategies for anxiety and depression symptoms or learning how to communicate more effectively with others.
Welcome to Your Therapeutic Journey!
My name is Trent, and I am pleased to assist you in addressing the behavioral health concerns you've brought to your journey with me today. As a Client-Centered and Solution-Focused therapist, my goal is to support you in defining and achieving your personal dreams and aspirations.
To begin, I would like to introduce the "miracle question." This exercise will help us envision what your ideal life would look like if you were to wake up tomorrow with everything in place as you hope. Once we establish this vision, we can prioritize your goals and collaborate on developing strategies and coping mechanisms that align with your desired outcomes. It's important to recognize that your fulfillment is shaped by your efforts and the meaningful interactions that you've identified as significant.
Once we've created a treatment plan based on your objectives, we will work through each goal step by step. Regular check-ins will allow us to assess your feelings about your progress and make any necessary adjustments to the treatment plan, including the addition of new goals as they arise. Please keep in mind that the therapeutic process can sometimes feel challenging before it improves, so your feedback is crucial. It will enable me to adapt your treatment plan to ensure that your therapeutic goals are being effectively addressed.
Should you wish to schedule your first session, I invite you to check my calendar for available slots and self-book at your convenience. I look forward to meeting with you soon. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out for support or with any questions or concerns you may have. I strive to respond to chat messages within 24 hours when possible.
Congratulations on taking this significant step toward your therapeutic goals!
Best regards,
Trent
I was born and raised in Oakland, California. I am a father of 5 boys and am currently married for over 16 years. I am a retired Longshoreman. So, being a therapist is a second career for me. I offer my clients a place to explore all aspects of their life. I embrace discussions about identity (race, sexuality, socio economic issues, gender, ableism etc...) I was taught the client is the expert in their own experiences. I see my role as supporting the client in deepening their understanding of the past, the present and how they can create a future of their own making.

I’m Arturo, and I’m honored you’re here. My work as a therapist is grounded in resilience, compassion, and deep respect for the courage it takes to ask for support. After 24 years of service in the United States Marine Corps, including combat deployments, I transitioned into clinical work, earning a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (MFT) from Pepperdine University.
For the past four years, I’ve worked with underrepresented communities, supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and major life transitions. I’m especially committed to creating a safe, confidential space where men can speak openly—man to man—about the challenges we often carry silently. I also work with couples using Gottman‑informed approaches to improve communication, rebuild trust, and deepen emotional connection.
Whether you’re seeking clarity, emotional relief, or stronger relationships, I offer practical tools, steady support, and a collaborative path toward healing and meaningful change.
