New to Grow
Hi, I’m Christina, a licensed therapist with a background supporting individuals during difficult moments, including crisis support. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and life transitions. In our sessions, I bring a calm presence to the work we do together. My approach is collaborative and non-judgmental. I provide both support and guidance throughout the process. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, while also helping you better understand what’s been coming up for you. Together, we can explore patterns that may be showing up in your daily life and identify goals that feel meaningful and realistic. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s okay to not have everything figured out. We’ll take things one step at a time as we work through what you’ve been experiencing.
The first session is a chance to begin understanding what’s been bringing you to therapy. I’ll gently guide the session and ask questions to better understand what you’ve been experiencing and what you’d like support with. We may also begin identifying goals for therapy, and it’s okay if you’re not exactly sure what those are yet. We can start to figure that out together. You’re also welcome to ask any questions, and we’ll begin to talk about how we can work together moving forward.
One of my greatest strengths is creating a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and accepted without judgment. I aim to support you in a way that feels genuine, while also helping you work toward meaningful changes. I take a collaborative approach, offering guidance and perspective while respecting your pace. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and move forward in a way that feels more manageable.
I work best with adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, experiencing depression, or going through changes in life. You might be trying to make sense of your experiences, manage stress, or notice patterns that are showing up in your daily life. My approach is warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative, and I aim to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and able to open up at your own pace. I often work well with clients who are open to exploring their thoughts and experiences and are looking for support in creating meaningful change over time.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help you better understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify patterns that may be contributing to how you’re feeling and explore different ways of thinking that can support more balance in your daily life.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT skills to support you in managing intense emotions, building distress tolerance, and improving communication in relationships. We focus on mindfulness skills that can be used in everyday situations, helping you feel more grounded in the moment.
Strength-Based
I take a strength-based approach by helping you recognize your existing strengths and resilience. Together, we identify what’s already working and build on that, while supporting continued growth at your own pace.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use a solution focused approach to help you identify clear goals and explore small, meaningful steps toward change. This approach supports a sense of forward movement and progress over time.
Trauma Informed Care
My approach is warm, supportive, and non-judgmental. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and understood. I recognize how past experiences can impact the present, and we move at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive for you.
