New to Grow
I’m Heidi Diebel, MA, LMFT, and I provide thoughtful, individualized therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and patterns that may be keeping them stuck. My approach is warm, supportive, and direct, combining evidence-based therapies with deeper exploration. Together, we build greater self-awareness, develop new perspectives, and create meaningful, lasting change that supports a more fulfilling and authentic life.
In our first session, we’ll take time to understand what brings you to therapy, what you’re experiencing, and what you hope to change. I’ll ask questions about your history, current concerns, relationships, and important life experiences. We’ll also begin identifying patterns and goals for therapy while making sure you feel comfortable, understood, and supported in our work together.
My approach stands out because I balance warmth and support with thoughtful, direct exploration. I listen closely and know when to create space for reflection and when a gentle challenge may help you see something differently. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor our work to you, helping uncover deeper patterns, build insight, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My ideal clients are thoughtful, self-aware individuals who may appear to be managing well on the outside but privately feel anxious, emotionally drained, stuck, or uncertain about what comes next. They are curious about themselves and open to looking beneath the surface to better understand recurring patterns. They want more than temporary relief—they are seeking greater clarity, deeper self-understanding, and meaningful, lasting change.
In Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We pay attention to the language you use internally and identify thought patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, distress, or behaviors you would like to change. Together, we examine these patterns and consider alternative ways of thinking that may be more accurate, helpful, and aligned with how you want to respond. By shifting the way you interpret situations, you can begin to change emotional and behavioral patterns that may no longer be serving you.
Emotionally Focused Therapy helps you develop a deeper awareness and understanding of your emotions and the needs beneath them. Together, we explore how emotional patterns shape the way you relate and respond to others, particularly in close relationships. By learning to recognize and express your emotional needs more clearly, you can develop healthier patterns of communication, deepen your connections, and respond to others in more constructive ways.
Person-Centered Therapy is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and acceptance. I create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel understood and comfortable exploring your thoughts, emotions, and experiences openly. Rather than telling you what to do, I work collaboratively with you, helping you deepen your self-understanding, recognize your own needs and strengths, and move toward changes that feel meaningful and authentic to you.
Psychodynamic Therapy focuses on understanding the deeper patterns that influence how you think, feel, and relate to others. We explore experiences and relationships from your past and consider how they may be shaping your present-day emotions, behaviors, and relationships—sometimes outside of your conscious awareness. By bringing these patterns into greater awareness, you can develop deeper insight, understand yourself more fully, and make more intentional choices about how you want to move forward.
