New to Grow
Hello, I’m Susan, and I’m so glad you’re here. I believe we are all wired for connection, and that healing often begins when we honor the intelligence behind our patterns with self-compassion. In my practice, I walk alongside my clients as they reconnect with themselves and move forward with greater clarity, authenticity, and intention. Together we create a supportive environment where mind and body can speak the same language, allowing renewal to emerge gently and naturally. It is a privilege to support individuals as they reclaim a deeper sense of belonging within themselves and in their relationships.
In our first meeting, I invite you to share your story at your own pace, allowing me to learn about your background and what brings you to therapy today. We will collaborate to identify your unique goals, ensuring our work together is aligned with your vision for healing and growth. My approach is grounded in meeting you exactly where you are, offering deep understanding and a non-judgmental space where hope can begin to take root. Together, we will lay a foundation of trust and clarity to guide your journey forward.
What sets my approach apart is the way I integrate mind and body as equal partners in the healing process. Rather than focusing only on thoughts or symptoms, we explore how experiences live in the body and how those sensations can become doorways to deeper understanding and change. I bring a blend of curiosity, respect for each person’s unique adaptations, and a steady belief in the possibility of renewal. This creates a collaborative process where clients often discover greater self-trust and a more authentic way of relating to themselves and others.
My ideal clients are individuals who sense that something deeper is calling them toward change. They may be navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, addiction recovery, ADHD, or the quiet pressure of always having it all together. What they share is a desire to reconnect with themselves, with their loved ones, and with a more authentic way of being. They are open to exploring both the mind and the body, and they value a compassionate space where their patterns are met with curiosity rather than judgment. Whether they’re seeking greater clarity, deeper connection, or a gentle return to themselves, they are ready to engage in meaningful work that supports lasting renewal.
In my practice, I thoughtfully draw from several approaches so our work can meet you where you are. I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to gently explore the connections between thoughts, feelings, and actions; Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for tools to navigate intense emotions and build self-compassion; Internal Family Systems (IFS) to approach different parts of yourself with curiosity and kindness; Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples and families rebuild deeper connection; EMDR to process difficult experiences so they no longer hold the same charge; and psychodynamic therapy to understand how earlier experiences continue to shape the present. I weave these approaches together based on what feels most supportive for you, always guided by compassion and respect for your unique story.
