New to Grow
Hello, I am Michelle Wenzler, and I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion and evidence-based care. As a therapist, I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where you feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and goals. I use approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you develop practical strategies for managing anxiety, depression, and difficult life situations. Together, we'll work toward greater self-understanding, emotional balance and a more fulfilling life. Whether you are a young adult facing new transitions or a senior seeking meaning and peace in later stages of life, my goal is to support you in finding resilience, clarity, and confidence in your journey forward.
Our first session is really about getting to know each other and setting the foundation for our work together. I'll ask some questions about what brings you to therapy, your background, and any important life experiences that may be helpful for me to understand. We'll also go over some practical details, like your contact information and emergency contacts. Most importantly, we'll start identifying your goals for therapy-what you would like to work on, what you hope will feel different, and how I can best support you in that process. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the steps ahead.
I believe my greatest strengths as a therapist is creating a warm, supportive space where people feel comfortable being themselves. I truly value connection and work hard to make sure my clients feel heard, understood, and respected. In our work together, I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you explore how your thoughts and emotions shape your experiences. These approaches offer practical tools to manage anxiety, depression, and life's stressors while building greater self-awareness and emotional balance. Clients often tell me that therapy helps them see things more clearly, feel more grounded, and find the confidence to create real change in their lives. My goal is to help you move from just getting by to truly thriving.
I love working with people who are ready to roll up their sleeves and take an active role in their healing. My ideal clients are those who come to therapy wanting real change and are open to trying new tools and strategies between sessions. I find it rewarding to work with individuals who are willing to set goals, reflect on their progress and stay curious about what is possible for their lives. Together, we'll turn insight into action and create meaningful, lasting growth.
