New to Grow
As a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I provide culturally responsive and affirming therapy in English and Spanish. I work with adults and older adults and am committed to serving individuals from diverse linguistic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, including members of the Spanish-speaking community. I bring extensive experience from public and nonprofit settings, and I approach therapy with empathy, humility, and respect for each person’s unique lived experience. I am attentive to how social, cultural, and systemic factors—including oppression and marginalization—can impact mental health, and I thoughtfully integrate this awareness into our work together.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is an opportunity to establish trust and understanding. You can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where your experiences are respected. We’ll talk about what’s been feeling most important for you lately, as well as any cultural, personal, or systemic factors that may be impacting your well-being. You are always in control of what you choose to share, and we’ll move thoughtfully and collaboratively.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths are building strong therapeutic relationships, meeting clients where they are, and creating a space where people feel heard, understood, and supported. I work collaboratively and thoughtfully, adapting my approach to align with each client’s goals, values, and cultural context.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with adults and older adults from diverse backgrounds who are navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, or major life changes. My ideal clients are those who value a thoughtful, compassionate approach and are open to exploring both past experiences and present-day patterns. I welcome individuals from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds and offer therapy in both English and Spanish.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients loosen the struggle with difficult internal experiences and build a life guided by meaning, values, and purposeful action in the present moment.
EMDR
I incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based trauma therapy, to help clients process and resolve past experiences that continue to affect their present lives. My approach emphasizes safety, pacing, and collaboration while supporting long-term healing and integration.
Eclectic
I recognize that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I use an eclectic approach, adapting various therapeutic modalities such as CBT, mindfulness, and exposure-based techniques to meet each client’s individual needs and preferences.
