New to Grow
Im dedicated to helping people navigate life's more complicated emotional terrain with greater clarity, stability, and self understanding. I believe therapy should feel like a connection first. The therapuetic relationship matters, and I work to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, respected, and supportd while also challenged toward meaningful growth. My approach is collaborative, compasssionate, and practical. I integreate evidence-based practices including DBT, CBT , mindfulness, attachment -focused work, and trauma informed care to help clients develop healthier coping strategies, regulate emotions, and better understand long-standing patterns that may be keeping them stuck. I have worked with adults, teens and their parents and couples to improve their communication, emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. I am interested in teaching people skills that are effective to help them to communicate their wants and needs in an effective way.
During our first session we will talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you are experiencing and what you hope might feel different in your life or relationships. I will ask quetions about your emotional health, personal history, medical history, coping strategies, relationships, and strengths so I can better understand the full picture of who you are, not just the problems that brought you in. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of my approach and style. Therapy works best when you feel connected with your therapist, so we will move at a pace that feels manageable and respectful of your needs. You can expect a collaborative, nonjudgemental environment where curiosity, honesty, and compassion are encouraged. Some sessions may feel deeply reflective, while others may focus on practical tools, coping skills, commmunication strategies, or creating immediate stability during difficult seasons of life.
