New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes that healing begins when people feel truly seen, heard, and valued. I bring more than a decade of experience in behavioral health and substance use treatment, supporting individuals through recovery, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, emotional stress, and major life transitions. My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and nonjudgmental. I also believe in being honest, encouraging, and empowering, especially when change feels difficult. I strive to create a safe space where you can share your heartbeat and the narrative of your story without allowing your past to define who you are today. Together, we can recognize your strengths, build upon your resilience, and help you move toward the life you desire and deserve. At the heart of my work is a simple belief that I carry into every therapeutic relationship: You are worthy. You are strong. You are courageous.
Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. We will review your intake information, talk about what brought you to therapy, and explore what you hope to gain from our work together. I will also explain what you can expect from our sessions and answer any questions you may have. Most importantly, we will begin at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You do not have to share everything at once. This is your space to feel seen, heard, and supported as we begin identifying your needs, values, strengths, and goals for therapy.
The strengths I bring to my sessions include compassion, honesty, patience, and the ability to meet you where you are while also encouraging growth. I believe there is a time to listen, hold space, and allow you to feel fully heard, and there is also a time to gently challenge patterns, beliefs, or behaviors that may no longer be serving you. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, collaborative, and empowering. I believe healing happens within a therapeutic relationship that honors your voice, your choices, your boundaries, and your pace. You are the expert on your own life, and our work together will be grounded in what feels meaningful to you. Together, we can explore your values, strengths, resilience, and the changes that feel meaningful to you. My role is not to define your story for you, but to walk alongside you as you move toward becoming the person you believe you are meant to be.
My ideal client is someone who has survived difficult and painful experiences in life and may be searching for a safe place to begin healing. They may have experienced trauma, betrayal trauma, heartbreak, homelessness, loss, substance use concerns, addiction or recovery challenges, relationship challenges, or other life circumstances that have left them feeling overwhelmed or uncertain about what comes next. They may not know their next move or even have clear goals yet. That is perfectly Okay! They simply have a willingness to begin the therapeutic process, share their story at their own pace, and take the first steps on their healing journey.
I use CBT to help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors may be connected. Together, we can explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck and practice healthier ways of responding to difficult situations, emotions, and everyday stress.
I use Motivational Interviewing to meet you where you are, especially when you may feel unsure or conflicted about making a change. Rather than telling you what you should do, I will help you explore what matters most to you, identify your own reasons for change, and support you in deciding what steps feel right for you.
I use skills from DBT to help you better understand and manage strong emotions, cope with stressful situations, communicate your needs, and create healthier relationships. We can practice tools that help you respond to difficult moments in ways that are more consistent with the life you want for yourself.
I believe you are the expert on your own life. I will provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly, explore what matters to you, and feel truly seen, heard, and valued while we work together toward the goals that are meaningful to you.
I approach therapy with an understanding that painful and traumatic experiences can affect how we feel, think, trust, connect with others, and respond to the world around us. Our work will honor your voice, choices, boundaries, and pace. I strive to create a space built on safety, trust, and collaboration, where you are in control of what you choose to share and when you are ready to share it.
