First session
In our first session, we’ll focus on understanding what brings you to therapy and what you hope will change. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, relevant history, stressors, and strengths so I can get a clear picture of your experience. You can expect a structured but collaborative conversation—one where you feel heard, but also begin identifying patterns and possible starting points for growth. We’ll discuss your goals, outline a tentative treatment plan, and determine whether we’re a good fit to work together. My approach is direct, evidence-based, and grounded in nervous-system awareness, while maintaining a safe and affirming space.
Strengths
My biggest strengths lie in my ability to foster positive change and provide comprehensive support to individuals and communities. I excel at actively listening to my clients, creating a safe and non-judgmental space for them to express their thoughts, emotions, and concerns. My empathetic approach allows clients to feel heard and understood. I recognize that well-being is influenced by various interconnected factors, including social, cultural, and environmental elements and have a deep respect for diversity and a commitment to cultural competence. I strive to understand the unique backgrounds and experiences of my clients, ensuring that therapy is culturally sensitive and inclusive. I stay current with the latest research and evidence-based therapeutic approaches, ensuring that my clients receive the most effective and up-to-date treatment options and committed to ongoing professional development and self-improvement. I possess the emotional resilience necessary to navigate challenging and sensitive situations while providing steadfast support to my clients. My work is driven by a deep sense of compassion and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Ideal clients
I work best with those who “hold it together” for everyone else but feel exhausted, anxious, or emotionally overwhelmed beneath the surface. Many carry a history of trauma, high stress environments, or long-standing pressure to perform. They are thoughtful, driven, and ready for deeper work—not just venting, but learning concrete tools to regulate, heal, and grow. I provide structured, evidence-based therapy in a space that affirms LGBTQI+ identities and neurodiverse experiences.
