I’m Kimberly M. Brooks, LCSW. I help adults and couples facing anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship strain, and emotional overwhelm find clarity and peace. My style is warm, direct, and grounding. I offer practical tools, honest insight, and optional faith-integrated support to help you heal, strengthen your relationships, and move forward with confidence. Clients often tell me they appreciate the calm space I create, the clarity that comes from honest conversations, and the steady guidance that helps them move forward.
I was born in the US, but I was raised in Mexico. I lived in Tijuana for 10 years when my parents decided to move us across the border to Chula Vista, California. As a first-generation Mexican-American, I experienced a duality of cultures. I was often judged for either being “not Mexican enough” OR “not American enough.” I also faced enormous pressure to be successful – to justify my parents’ having left their beloved country so my sibling and I could have a better life. This is one of many reasons I decided to follow this path: to help those who feel alone in their journey. That’s how I felt when acculturating to this country.
I earned my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) at San Diego State University (SDSU). I was going to go directly into the workforce and eventually go back for my master’s, but an awesome professor challenged me to apply right away so I wouldn’t lose momentum. So, that’s what I did. I ended up getting my Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Southern California. It took some time and courage to finish all my licensing requirements, but it was worth it! I’ve been licensed as a clinical social worker in California since 2019. I am certified in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT.
I am kind, non-judgmental, accepting with a very diverse background. My name is Fquira, pronounced "Keera. " That is literally, Kera, with an F, how unique is that? I have an appreciation for all people as unique individuals, with various types of life challenges. Im here for the challenge. Helping minds heal and lives transform has been a true reward of doing what I do in therapy. I am here to help you.
I'm a first-gen Latina here to support you and give you space to recharge. I've worked with clients struggling with anxiety and depression, gently guiding them towards clarity. I enjoy working with young adults and older adults. Together, we will build skills to manage racing thoughts, reduce worry, and set healthy boundaries.
My style is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I want you to feel comfortable opening up while also feeling guided towards the changes you're hoping to make. I focus on listening deeply, making complex feelings easier to understand, and working together in a way that feels clear and approachable.
I help clients reach their goals by focusing on what feels most important to them and making the process feel less overwhelming. We'll take things one step at a time, celebrate progress along the way, make changes as needed, and build tools that feel doable.
Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California. I received my Masters from the University of Southern California (USC) emphasis in Mental Health and Military Social Work. I have been practicing for 7 years. I help US Military Service Members and Veteran's struggling with adjusting to civilian life, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety and Anger Management skills. The military teaches structure and purpose everyday. You know what you have to do, where you have to be and when you have to be there and going to waking up as a civilian to “what do I do now” can be a struggle. This is where I can help with the transition to civilian life.

With my experience throughout my therapist career life, I find people are able to get in touch with their own voice, motivation, and wisdom when they feel heard, seen, and understood. I provide therapy with love and care to clients and help them see and change their pattern in the here-and-now moment in the therapeutic relationship. Besides providing psychoeducation and coping skills to help clients manage their symptoms, I devote my work to helping clients explore their ways of transformation and getting closer to their True Self.
Over human history, people have mostly lived in close-knit communities. This has eroded with the advances in transportation and technology. Most people have lost much of the social support our forebearers enjoyed. Mental Health Professionals have taken on this role in their respective communities and are an excellent resource for you to realize your strengths and improve your well-being. When your car breaks down you take it to a mechanic. When your tooth hurts you see a dentist. When your mental health can use a “tune-up,” see a Mental Health Professional!
Having been married for 50 years and raised four children to adulthood, I bring a wealth of life experience to the therapeutic relationship. There are so many challenges with marriage and raising a family, undergoing therapy myself (both individual and couple) has helped me through many difficult times, and I know what it takes make significant changes in my life. I love animals, and i have two dogs who bring me joy every day. My children and seven grandchildren are very important to my life. One of the benefits of being an older therapist is that I have overcome many of the obstacles that my clients face, and for even those I have not experienced, my clients benefit from the life skills I have developed.
Therapy for High-Functioning Adults Navigating ADHD, Trauma, Anxiety, and Relationship Distress
You may appear capable, accomplished, and composed while privately feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or unable to quiet your mind. Perhaps you are successful in many areas of life but struggle with anxiety, ADHD-related difficulties, trauma responses, relationship conflict, or a persistent sense that you are not functioning as well as others believe.
I work with high-functioning adults and couples who are insightful and motivated but continue to feel stuck in patterns they cannot simply think their way out of. You may understand why you react the way you do and still find yourself becoming anxious, shutting down, overthinking, procrastinating, losing focus, becoming emotionally flooded, or repeating the same painful relationship dynamics.
Who I Help
I work with adults experiencing:
ADHD, executive-functioning difficulties, procrastination, and emotional overwhelm
Anxiety, perfectionism, overthinking, and chronic self-pressure
PTSD, developmental trauma, and unresolved childhood experiences
Relationship anxiety, attachment wounds, and fear of abandonment
Emotional disconnection, burnout, and difficulty identifying personal needs
Family expectations, cultural pressures, and people-pleasing
Major life, career, or identity transitions
I also work with couples who may care deeply for one another but feel caught in recurring cycles of conflict, defensiveness, withdrawal, resentment, or emotional distance. Couples therapy can help you understand the pattern underneath the argument, communicate more safely, and rebuild trust and emotional connection.

Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I received my Masters degree from California institute of Integral Studies and have been practicing for 15 years. Hi there! My name is Chelsea and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. In the past, I've had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients of all ages and backgrounds. I believe my communication style is calm and gentle, while still being direct. I do my best to provide a nonjudgmental space wherein the clients I work with can feel comfortable sharing their concerns. I will also challenge clients when appropriate, to allow them to develop insight into ways they can change their thoughts or behaviors in a way that would be helpful for them.
My goal is to empower clients to reach their goals, so they can learn tools and techniques to help them better build upon their strengths and manage mental health symptoms. Eventually, my hope is for all of my clients to feel they are in a place where they can manage symptoms and life stressors on their own, through utilizing the skills they've learned throughout therapy. But until that time, I aim to help my clients learn how to change maladaptive patterns of behavior, and learn ways of helping their selves manage the challenges they are facing.

Hi, I’m Leslie Lopez, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 11 years of experience supporting adults and couples through life transitions, relationship challenges, and the process of healing from emotional and relational wounds.
Many of the clients I work with are high-functioning on the outside, but internally feel emotionally exhausted, anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns they can’t seem to move past. I specialize in trauma informed therapy and EMDR, and integrate CBT and DBT to support healing, clarity, and emotional balance.
My approach is warm, grounded, and deeply relational. I believe therapy is a space where you can be fully yourself, where you don’t have to hold everything alone, and where real, lasting change can begin.
Many people experience anxiety, depression, and many other emotional struggles. Often people feel there is no one they can trust and no one who can understand them. The impact of this emotional suffering can make daily life painful. It can put strain on relationships with family, friends, and peers. I specialize in working with people on an individual basis and have found that there are similar challenges that we all face while trying to navigate through our daily lives.

Hi there, I'm Mandy.
Are you feeling stuck or held back from the life you truly want to live? Life’s challenges—stress, pain, and unresolved experiences—often settle in our bodies, shaping how we move through the world. These experiences impact our nervous system, relationships, and sense of safety until we learn to work with them. By gently turning toward these parts of ourselves, we create space for healing and growth. My goal is to support you to feel heard, seen, and empowered to transform these challenges. Through mind-body-spirit integration, you'll reconnect, find balance, and discover what transformation means for you.
Hello. I chose to become a therapist after recognizing its value as a tool for managing life's challenges. I am committed to fostering self-growth and exploration. I aim to support others in their personal development journeys! My style is eclectic, meaning I utilize a wide variety of therapeutic modalities and tools to help you achieve your therapy goals. Together, we can help to get you to a better place.
Hi, I’m Charles Yin, I work with men and women who struggle with depression, anxiety, and self-sabotaging patterns. This prevents them from feeling connected to themselves and others and from reaching their full potential. I firmly believe everyone can live a meaningful and fulfilling life. After working with clients for over 16 years, I understand the difficulties of finding your path in life and use my expertise to help you overcome these challenges.
How do I help you? There are 3 key ingredients: I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps you become friends with your difficult thoughts and feelings and make wise choices even when it's hard. I help you connect deeply with the real you and develop a sense of belonging with others. I help you get out of your mind and into your life and develop skills to unhook from difficult thoughts and feelings, stay present and do what matters.
As a child I was always very sensitive and curious about the world that surrounded me. It came natural to help people and I knew that I wanted to give back to the world at large. Just like you I suffered from some childhood wounds. My parents did the best they could with the tools they had. But due to their struggles I became a very codependent child wanting to save and fix my parents to simply gain the love I desired.
Later on I would be able to understand this cycle and name some of the patterns I lived out. People pleasing, losing myself in toxic relationships and not fully loving that little girl inside of me. Once I became a LMFT and gained the knowledge and tools necessary I was not only able to break my own patterns, I was also able to help others find joy and deep meaning in their lives.
Ultimately I specialize in helping people understand their patterns and be more effective communicators in their world. My role has been a guide and coach for my clients, providing innovative approaches based on Gestalt Method, Ancient Forgiveness Techniques, Psychodynamic Therapy, NLP and Hypnosis. I use these techniques to help my clients break patterns, many of which are fear based as a result of early childhood trauma that causes emotional issues in the present. This is deep and powerful work, and is necessary to enable a positive path to desired future. I look forward to working with you and guiding you on the path to healing and freedom.

My goal is to inspire my clients to become the best version of themselves by identifying the root causes of their issues and helping them work through them.
Hello my name is Belinda Valdivia and I am a bilingual therapist licensed in California and have been working in different settings with diverse populations. Are you constantly worried about your problems and having difficulties controlling your anxious thoughts? Do you feel sad and low motivation to do the activities you once enjoyed? Have you experienced recent or past trauma that you have tried to avoid thinking about but keeps replaying in your mind? Is your child having issues managing his emotions and not sure how to help them? Having difficulties sharing how you feel with others? If you answered yes to any of these questions, I can help guide and empower you to meet your therapeutic goals.

I have been a licensed therapist for over 15 years, licensed in California and Nevada. I understand that reaching out and starting the therapy process can be a little overwhelming in and of itself, so I work to set a pace that is comfortable for my client. If you are ready to dive into the deep end, we will go there. If you need some time to ease into the hard work of therapy, we will go at a pace that feels comfortable. I see myself as a guide in the process of therapy and, at times, more of a teacher, sharing strategies and information. My goal as a therapist is to help you develop the resources and strategies to feel confident in your ability to handle life challenges. Sometimes that involves really getting in touch with the way you think and what you believe, or exploring how you are talking to yourself, or it might involve healing childhood wounds. Since each client is unique I use a variety of therapeutic techniques, I incorporate evidenced based strategies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and sometimes complimentary therapies such as Guided Imagery. I tend to be eclectic in my approach because each person is an individual, and there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to resolving life issues.
As a licensed psychotherapist, I have become quite the encourager for reminding clients that mental health is absolutely a vital piece of the puzzle when considering overall well-being. Mental health and stability are so important, and I commend you for reaching out to take care of your mental health care needs.
I have been seeing clients since 2018. I graduated from Antioch University, Los Angeles' LGBT Affirmative specialization and my focus is working with gay Latino men, or men who have sex with men. I am, however, open to working with anyone as therapy is not so much theory-based but relationship-based, so having a strong rapport with the client is always of utmost importance.
In my personal life, some things I enjoy are traveling, (I want to see as much of the world as I possibly can) writing (I love the fantasy genre), going to the cinema (I love fantasy, mystery & film noir), exercising, and enjoying a nice meal with friends and family.
With over 30 years of experience as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am passionate about helping individuals, children and families explore ways to find stability, resilience, and healing through times of change. I bring unique expertise in high conflict family dynamics and custody situations, drawing from years of working closing with Family Court. This experience has deepened my understanding of the emotional needs of children and parents facing separation.

Hi there, my name is Allison. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I have over a decade of experience working with adults and teens and specialize in anxiety, perfectionism, depression and perinatal mental health.
Therapy is not "one size fits all" so I always tailor my approach to fit the needs and personality of each individual client. Together we will identify your personal strengths, obstacles and values, which we will then use to set goals and ultimately facilitate meaningful change.
I imagine that you have tried to manage your mental health on your own but may be feeling frustrated or stuck. Therapy can provide the support and structure that is often needed to help us overcome the many challenges life can throw our way. So if you're ready to take the next step, let's talk.
