Starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even intimidating—and it’s worth taking a moment to recognize the courage it takes to take this first step toward caring for your mental health. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where you can explore challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-care, and more. My goal is to help you strengthen communication and boundaries with yourself and others so that you can improve your quality of life and move toward the future you envision. Therapy is not just about overcoming obstacles—it’s also about personal growth. Together, we’ll clarify your goals and identify strategies to help you move toward them, whether that means change over the next month, six months, or a year. You’ll leave our sessions with practical insights and “next steps” you can put into action right away. I believe life’s purpose isn’t simply to be happy, but to find meaning—and within that meaning, joy emerges. While the journey isn’t always easy, it can be transformative. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Professional, Internationally Certified Drug Counselor, and Behavior Analyst. I take a strength-based approach, helping you use your unique abilities to address challenges. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to empower you in creating lasting change. Most importantly, I bring a relaxed, compassionate, and trustworthy presence, fostering a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe and supported.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step—especially if you’re not totally sure what to say or where to begin. My job is to make that part easier. I’m a licensed therapist who works with people dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, burnout, low motivation, and feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Some clients come in with something specific going on, while others just know something feels off and want to figure it out. Both are completely welcome here. In our work together, we focus on what’s actually happening in your day-to-day life and how to create real, noticeable changes—not just talk in circles. I aim to keep sessions practical, collaborative, and grounded so you leave with clarity and a better sense of direction. Clients often tell me they appreciate having a space where they can be honest without feeling judged or analyzed. You don’t need to have the “right words” or a clear plan before starting—we’ll figure that out together. If you’re looking for therapy that feels straightforward, supportive, and focused on helping you move forward, I’d be glad to work with you.

Good day to you, my name is Mario Palacios I am a LMFT. I have been a therapist for over 25 years. I have had my practice since 2011. In that time, I have learned and have continued to learn what it takes to become a more effective therapist. During this time, I have treated many people with various issues/challenges that have resulted in positive outcomes. The most important impact for me is being able to see when my client has been able to make changes in their lives where they have improved themselves, found more clarity and continue to seek more improvement.

I invite you to come with me on a journey of your own choosing where we will walk together in darkness to find the light you’ve been seeking. Whether it’s life’s little annoying stressors or more complex issues, as a trauma survivor myself, I know firsthand what this is like and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who understands that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable—especially when you are used to handling everything on your own. You may be feeling anxious, discouraged, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or simply aware that something in your life needs to change. You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. My style is warm, honest, collaborative, and practical. Therapy is your journey, and you remain at the center of it. My role is to walk alongside you—offering a safe place to speak openly, meaningful insight, and practical support as you create lasting change and move toward a life that feels healthier, more connected, and authentically yours. .I draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and attachment-based approaches, tailoring our work to your needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. Together, we can better understand what is keeping you stuck, recognize your strengths, and develop tools that help you feel more regulated and attuned.

You’re the one everyone counts on. Who’s holding you up? You show up for your job, your family, your aging parent, your friends, and you make it look easy. Inside, you’re exhausted, stretched thin, or not quite feeling like yourself. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who helps overwhelmed, high-functioning adults and caregivers understand how stress is affecting their mind and body, so they can feel steadier, more grounded, and more like themselves again. Here’s what makes my approach different. Stress doesn’t only live in your thoughts. It shows up in your sleep, your shoulders, your patience, and your energy. As a certified yoga teacher currently training to become a yoga therapist, I combine practical talk therapy tools with mindfulness and body-based practices, so you leave sessions with something you can use that same night. I grew up between two cultures and worked overseas as an NGO worker, and I’m fluent in English, Korean, and Japanese. If you carry expectations from more than one world, such as the dutiful child, the reliable one, or the one who “should” be able to handle it, I understand the in-between, and you won’t have to translate your story for me. My role isn’t to tell you how to live. I ask thoughtful questions, offer fresh perspectives, and help you reconnect with strengths you already have, even when stress, grief, or change make them hard to reach. You don’t have to wait until you hit a wall. Reach out today and let’s start where you are.

I am passionate about the impact of spirituality in mental health therapy. As an attachment informed humanist LPCC, I consider the bio-psycho-social-spiritual/existential condition of the folks with whom I work. Healing is a matter of integrating the disparate and fragmented parts of life. Empathy, acceptance, positive regard, and genuineness are crucial elements for effective therapy and these are the characteristics I seek to cultivate in my practice. As far as a specific toolkit, CBT and Motivational Interviewing are the primary evidence based methodologies I employ to be with people in their self-paced, goal oriented healing efforts. Those who want to examine the angst, anxiety, disquiet, and friction in their lives will find a fellow traveler in me.

Asking for help is one of the most courageous things you can do for yourself. Life can be stressful, and you can feel pulled in many different directions. Being an African American man growing up in Los Angeles, I have faced my share of challenges and obstacles and when stress sets in, I understand that even the smallest pebble can feel like a major Boulder. I come from a traditional family where men and oftentimes women are discouraged from seeking help to deal with life's struggles and stresses. I aim to fill that void and change that narrative. I empower Men, Women and Families to seek to understand their struggles, anxieties and life challenges and to overcome them.

I am trained in depth psychology and my specialties are trauma-informed care, emotional dysregulation, attachment wounds, depression, stress and anxiety as it relates to trauma. I offer skills to handle distress, grief, adjustment to change and discomfort in your own body and life. I will work with you to set boundaries, realize the difference between hurting someone's feelings and a person having feelings about the boundaries you set. I help individuals, couples and families. I help people met their needs and wants in an effective way. I strive to treat everyone with unconditional positive regard and help you live your best life. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with my BS in social science and received my MA in counseling psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. I have worked in a variety of settings and enjoy working with individuals and couples. With my sociology and psychology background, I look at the systemic issues in society as well as specific issues that are affecting your ability to lead a full, rich life. I was a victim of narcissistic abuse and learned skills, including boundaries, to set myself free and heal. Learning to say no, learning to regulate your nervous system, to let go of old patterns of behaviors that no longer serve, are all keys to moving towards healing, peace and calm. I can help you protect your energy and calm. You are enough. You matter to me. I would love the honor of collaborating with you to unlock your full potential and bring joy, peace and contentment to your life. I strive to be authentic and transparent and I meet you where you’re at. Let’s observe, without judgment, what’s working and what’s not and work together to bring you back to your true self.

My name is Neha, and I use she/her pronouns. I have been practicing as a therapist for the past four years and am passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience. My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my own experiences of immigration and adapting to a new culture. Growing up in a community-oriented country, I deeply valued the sense of connection and belonging that surrounded me. After moving to the United States, I became more aware of how meaningful those connections can be and was inspired to create that same sense of support and understanding for others. This experience continues to guide my work as I strive to provide a compassionate, collaborative space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported in their growth. Hello , I am a licensed social worker based in Ohio. And I also am licensed in California. I have been practicing for close to 40 years, so have a great deal of professional and life experience, that I can apply to my work with clients. I am motivated to help adults of any age, move forward with their lives. And also there to help clients develop healthy skills that they can utilize, to become their "best selves." My approach tends to be more SHORT TERM and Solution Focused. I also see myself as a life coach for many of my clients. I am a regular practitioner of yoga and meditation and enjoy bringing elements of these practices into my work as well. I also love animals and enjoy hiking and biking in nature. *I do not work with clients who have HIGH RISK CONCERNS, such as recent suicidality, recent psychiatric hospitalization, domestic violence or substance abuse issues. Since I feel clients managing these issues, are better served seeing providers in a traditional office setting with more wrap around services. Clients who book with me presenting with these high risk concerns will have to be referred out by me to other providers or more appropriate resources in their community.

Hello, I was born and raised in Stockton, California. I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17 and in 1997, after 25 yeas of service, I retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Marine Corps, I worked as a Farrier (Horseshoer), as well as a structural welder (Ironworker), as those were the most marketable skill that I had. I came to a point where old injuries came back to haunt me and I could no longer walk (several years later, thanks to a surgery through the VA, I can walk again; thankful for that). At this point, I changed professions and out of a desire to work with veterans, I returned to school, accomplishing all that was necessary to become a licensed counselor. I spent another career working for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically as a counselor in the Readjustment Counseling Service (Vet Center). I recently retired from the Vet Center and now I work part-time here with Grow Therapy. As a retired Marine senior staff Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) and disabled combat veteran myself, the Vet Center was the perfect job. Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling to combat veterans and provide counseling to survivors of military sexual trauma (MST). Vet Centers also provide group counseling, bereavement counseling and couples counseling when this is determined to be of support to the veteran. Readjustment counseling many times consists of treating/addressing symptoms related to post-traumatic stress (PTSD), I.e., anxiety, depression, exaggerated startle response, hypervigilance, sleep disturbance, etc. Many veterans go on to work as first responders and working with many first responders as well as medical personal, has provided me with a great deal of additional experience.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
