Starting therapy can feel like a big step—especially if you’re not totally sure what to say or where to begin. My job is to make that part easier. I’m a licensed therapist who works with people dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, burnout, low motivation, and feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Some clients come in with something specific going on, while others just know something feels off and want to figure it out. Both are completely welcome here. In our work together, we focus on what’s actually happening in your day-to-day life and how to create real, noticeable changes—not just talk in circles. I aim to keep sessions practical, collaborative, and grounded so you leave with clarity and a better sense of direction. Clients often tell me they appreciate having a space where they can be honest without feeling judged or analyzed. You don’t need to have the “right words” or a clear plan before starting—we’ll figure that out together. If you’re looking for therapy that feels straightforward, supportive, and focused on helping you move forward, I’d be glad to work with you.
The first session is all about getting to know you and helping you feel comfortable. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance or have everything figured out—just show up as you are. We’ll start by talking about what brought you in and what’s been going on recently. If you’re not totally sure how to explain it yet, that’s completely fine. I’ll guide the conversation with questions so we can start making sense of things together. We’ll also cover a bit of your background—things like stressors, relationships, work, or anything else that feels relevant—so I can understand the bigger picture of your life. At the same time, this isn’t just me asking questions. I want you to feel like you’re already getting something out of the session. We’ll begin identifying what’s been keeping you stuck and look at a few ways to start shifting it, even early on. By the end of the first session, you can expect to have: - A clearer understanding of what’s been going on - A sense of direction for what we’ll focus on moving forward - An idea of what working together will actually look like There’s no pressure to share everything right away or to “do therapy perfectly.” The goal is simply to start building momentum and help you feel more in control of what’s next.
What stands out most about my approach is that we focus on creating real change—not just insight. A lot of people come into therapy already aware of their patterns. They know why they feel the way they do, but nothing actually shifts. I help bridge that gap. Our work is focused on turning awareness into action so you start noticing progress in your day-to-day life, not just during sessions. I’m also very direct and engaged in sessions. You won’t be talking to someone who just nods and listens the whole time. I ask thoughtful questions, offer perspective, and help you see things in ways that are immediately useful. At the same time, I keep things grounded and approachable so it doesn’t feel overwhelming or overly clinical. Another strength is my ability to quickly understand what’s actually driving the problem. Instead of getting lost in surface-level details, we focus on what’s underneath—whether that’s patterns in thinking, habits, or reactions that are keeping you stuck. This helps us move faster and work more efficiently. I also prioritize making therapy feel practical. Clients often leave sessions with a clearer sense of what to do next, whether that’s a shift in how they approach a situation, something to try between sessions, or a new way of responding to stress or conflict. Most importantly, I create a space where you can be real without feeling judged, analyzed, or pressured. That combination—clear direction, honest conversation, and practical progress—is what tends to help clients get the most out of therapy and actually stick with it.
I work best with people who are ready for something to change—even if they’re not exactly sure what that change looks like yet. Many of my clients are dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, burnout, or feeling off in a way they can’t fully explain. On the outside, things might look fine, but internally there’s frustration, pressure, or a sense that something isn’t working. Some clients come in after trying to handle things on their own for a while. Others are new to therapy and just want a place to sort things out without feeling judged or overwhelmed. You don’t need to have a clear goal or the “right” words to start. I’m a strong fit for people who want therapy to feel straightforward and useful. If you’re looking for a space where you can be honest, get clarity quickly, and start making real shifts in how you think, respond, and move through life, we’ll likely work well together. Whether you’re trying to get unstuck, improve relationships, manage stress better, or just feel more like yourself again, we can focus on what will actually help you move forward.
