(she/her)
Hi there and great job on taking that first step in considering if therapy is right for you. I invite you to come with me on a journey of your own choosing where we will walk together in darkness to find the light you’ve been seeking. Whether it’s life’s little annoying stressors or more complex issues, as a trauma survivor myself, I know firsthand what this is like and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Whether you choose me or another therapist, make the choice to just give it a try. Sometimes all you need is another person to hold the light while you do the work you need to heal.
During our first session together, we will mainly focus on what brought you here, How my experience might best serve you, and I will share my own experiences while helping and you get comfortable with me and the therapeutic process.
A good portion of my career has been spent working with children in the foster care system. Being a foster child myself I found that I resonated well with a younger population from the start. I have a gift for working with children and families and usually have a funny way to look at things that helps the younger ones that tend to gravitate towards my style. I've worked many years with adults in the treatment facilities to address both substance use and domestic violence situations as well. I think what most people say about me is that I am easy to talk to. Being a trauma survivor myself, I know first hand what this process can feel like. I also know the beautiful gift I've been rewarded with. To share and walk with you on your own particular journey. I love that part of my Job!
I have a lot of practice with anxiety, trauma, and sexual abuse cases.

After the first few minutes of meeting Kellie, I already knew she'd be a great fit for me. She's hilarious, such a sweetheart, and unapologetically herself; honestly a breath of fresh air. My nerves went poof and I found myself able to open up effortlessly with her. Can't wait to continue working with her and I'm excited to see what future sessions bring.

Kellie was open to exploring many possible solutions for my anxiety. We played some games and talked about coping mechanisms. She kept things light and put me at ease. She emphasized the need to stay grounded when I spin. Thanks Kellie!
