Hello, thanks for visiting my page. I am Dr. Banigo, and I love to collaborate with patients and render needed assistance. I am a skilled clinician, and I provide clinical supervision to clinicians focused on sharpening their clinical skills. I am an adjunct professor. I encourage patients to actively participate in their care with me and other treatment providers such as primary care physicians, psychiatrists, and others. I do not complete disability forms (Social Security, work excuse, FMLA, Court papers/legal papers, emotional support letters, etc).
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
As a consultant, you are guaranteed to have a 15-minute initial consultation to clarify your needs and if I am the right consultant to meet those needs. You can expect to work with a collaborative and detail-oriented clinician. Hence, I will collaborate with you to clearly define how I would help you achieve your positive goals/objectives. I consider it important to provide ongoing communication with you for needed feedback and to ensure that your counseling needs are met.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I use a blended, client-centered treatment approach, focused on ensuring that my interventions are supportive and effective. This means that sometimes I use an eclectic approach involving more than 2 theoretical techniques. Some of the integrative approaches that I use in treatment are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical behavior therapy, Supportive therapy, Interpersonal therapy, and mindfulness.
