Hi, I’m Sandra Martinez Silva, LCSW. I provide a warm, supportive, and culturally responsive space where clients can feel safe, understood, and empowered in their healing journey. I work with adults and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship stress, and identity-related concerns. As a bilingual English and Spanish therapist, I also welcome conversations around personal values, spirituality, and meaning, helping clients build practical coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and creating a safe, comfortable space for our work together. I will take time to understand what brings you to therapy, explore your current concerns, discuss your goals, and learn more about your strengths and personal history. We will move at a pace that feels supportive and manageable for you. By the end of the session, we will begin identifying goals and practical next steps for your healing journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths are creating a warm therapeutic relationship, helping clients feel emotionally safe, and translating insight into practical tools they can use in daily life. I integrate CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based, strength-based, and trauma-informed approaches to support clients with anxiety, mood concerns, trauma, grief, and life transitions. Clients often appreciate my collaborative style, cultural responsiveness, and ability to help them better understand patterns while building confidence, coping skills, and emotional regulation. I also support clients in exploring personal values, spirituality, and meaning as part of emotional healing and growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, life transitions, trauma, grief, and identity-related concerns. I especially enjoy supporting clients who are motivated for growth and looking to build practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen confidence in themselves and their relationships. I provide a warm, collaborative, culturally responsive space and welcome conversations around personal values, spirituality, and meaning as part of the healing process.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop practical coping strategies. Together, we work on building insight and tools that help reduce anxiety, improve mood, and support meaningful change in daily life.

Strength-Based

I use a strength-based approach to help clients identify and build on their existing resilience, values, and personal resources. My goal is to help clients recognize their inner strengths, past successes, and support systems while developing confidence in their ability to navigate challenges and create meaningful change.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts and emotions without becoming overwhelmed by them. Together, we focus on acceptance, mindfulness, and values-based action so clients can move toward the life they want even when difficult emotions are present.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness-based techniques to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the present moment. These strategies support emotional regulation, grounding, and stress reduction while helping clients respond to challenges with greater intention and self-compassion.

Trauma Informed Care

I provide trauma-informed care by creating a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered in their healing process. I approach treatment with sensitivity to how past experiences may impact current emotions, relationships, and coping patterns, while prioritizing emotional safety, trust, and choice.
