I am a licensed therapist specializing in treating anxiety, the impacts of intense stress, depression, grief, and couples/relationship issues. I believe in teaching strategies to cope with challenges in the short term and addressing root causes in the long term to enable you to achieve your life goals. I am one of the relatively few therapists with extensive experience and advanced training in couples therapy. I work with people from all kinds of backgrounds and from all walks of life. I balance my practice between about half couples and half individual clients.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I believe in a thorough assessment of each person's life situation and the collaborative development of goals. For anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem, depending on the specific person and situation, I may use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and teach coping skills. For stress and life transition challenges, I typically use solution-focused therapy. For couples therapy, I use the acclaimed Gottman Method.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I am collaborative, engaged, and actively involved in co-creating solutions with you to whatever has led to your life challenges. The sessions tend to be structured around learning these strategies and working through barriers to change, using the model best suited to your needs.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am a solution-focused therapist and use evidence-based practices to resolve long-term problems and mental health challenges. I am extensively trained in multiple well-established types of therapy techniques. My overarching goal is to enable you to overcome whatever is holding you back from the happiness and the life satisfaction that you are seeking.
Gottman method
I am highly experienced and have advanced training in CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method.
