New to Grow
My name is Justin, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with several years of experience providing therapy to diverse client populations. In addition to my clinical work, I have extensive experience in case management, connecting clients with resources that support their overall well-being. I take a holistic approach to care, helping clients address both emotional challenges and practical needs to improve their quality of life.
I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it’s your first time. The initial session is designed to be a comfortable and welcoming space where we can get to know one another and discuss what has brought you to therapy. We will explore your concerns, goals, and any questions you may have about the process. My focus is on building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship so that I can best support your needs and help you move forward at a pace that feels right for you.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in building strong rapport and fostering deep trust with my clients. I firmly believe that a solid foundation of trust and connection is essential for clients to feel safe enough to engage meaningfully in the therapeutic process and achieve their personal goals.
I am best positioned to serve adult clients who are navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, or periods of feeling stuck or overwhelmed. My experience has focused on supporting individuals who may struggle with understanding and managing their emotions, particularly when these feelings begin to interfere with daily functioning and overall well-being. I work collaboratively with clients to increase self-awareness, develop effective coping strategies, and build practical skills to manage difficult emotions. My goal is to empower clients to move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and confidence, so they can engage more fully in their lives.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) involves helping clients recognize the interconnected relationship between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By developing this awareness, clients are better able to identify underlying patterns contributing to their concerns. From there, I support them in implementing practical strategies to address these patterns early, promoting healthier coping mechanisms and preventing issues from escalating.
Motivational Interviewing
My experience utilizing Motivational Interviewing involves supporting clients who may feel ambivalent or hesitant about initiating change. I use a client-centered, collaborative approach to help individuals explore their motivations, resolve ambivalence, and build confidence in their ability to make meaningful changes. This approach allows clients to progress at their own pace while feeling supported and empowered throughout their journey.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
My experience utilizing Solution-Focused Therapy involves guiding clients in identifying and building on their existing strengths and internal resources. I support clients in recognizing that they already possess the capacity for change, helping them develop practical, goal-oriented strategies to move forward. This approach empowers clients to access their own solutions and fosters a sense of confidence and self-efficacy.
Strength-Based
My experience utilizing a strengths-based approach involves helping clients identify and build upon their existing strengths and personal resources. I work collaboratively with clients to apply these strengths to challenges they are facing, supporting the development of effective problem-solving skills and resilience. This approach fosters empowerment and reinforces clients’ confidence in their ability to navigate life’s difficulties.
