My name is Justin, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with several years of experience providing therapy to individuals from diverse backgrounds, including Veterans. I understand that life’s challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming, and therapy can be an important step toward feeling better, improving emotional well-being, and continuing to function effectively in everyday life. In addition to my clinical experience, I have a strong background in case management and helping clients connect with supportive resources that can improve their overall quality of life. My approach to therapy is practical, supportive, and personalized to each client’s unique needs. I strive to create a safe and collaborative space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered as they work toward meaningful change and personal growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it’s your first time. The initial session is designed to be a comfortable and welcoming space where we can get to know one another and discuss what has brought you to therapy. We will explore your concerns, goals, and any questions you may have about the process. My focus is on building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship so that I can best support your needs and help you move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic approach is grounded in building strong rapport and fostering deep trust with my clients. I firmly believe that a solid foundation of trust and connection is essential for clients to feel safe enough to engage meaningfully in the therapeutic process and achieve their personal goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adult clients who are navigating life transitions, unexpected life changes that can feel sudden and unplanned, emotional challenges, or periods of feeling stuck or overwhelmed. My experience has focused on supporting individuals who may struggle with understanding and managing their emotions, particularly when these feelings begin to interfere with daily functioning and overall well-being. I work collaboratively with clients to increase self-awareness, develop effective coping strategies, and build practical skills to manage difficult emotions. My goal is to empower clients to move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and confidence, so they can engage more fully in their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

When thoughts feel overwhelming, emotions feel heavy, or behaviors start to feel hard to control, it can be difficult to see a clear path forward. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps bring clarity to how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. By identifying unhelpful patterns, we can work together to shift the cycle that contributes to stress, anxiety, depression, and other challenges. The focus is on practical, real-world tools and coping strategies that help you respond differently, feel more in control, and create meaningful, lasting change in your daily life.

Motivational Interviewing

Change can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re unsure where to start or feel stuck between where you are and where you want to be. Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, nonjudgmental approach that helps clients explore what truly matters to them, clarify their motivations, and work through ambivalence about change. Together, we build confidence and momentum so you can move forward in a way that feels realistic, manageable, and aligned with your goals—while feeling supported and understood throughout the process.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients recognize their strengths, build on their existing abilities, and focus on achievable goals for positive change. Rather than concentrating solely on problems, this approach helps clients identify practical solutions and the internal resources they already possess. Together, we work toward developing realistic strategies that promote confidence, resilience, and a greater sense of control in moving forward.

Strength-Based

Everyone has strengths and abilities that can help them navigate life’s challenges, even during difficult times when those strengths may feel harder to recognize. Using a strengths-based approach, I help clients identify and build upon the personal qualities, skills, and resources they already possess. Together, we focus on applying these strengths to current challenges, developing effective problem-solving skills, increasing resilience, and building greater confidence in their ability to move forward.
