Lorraine Navarro
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I believe in meeting you where you are and working together at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I have experience supporting adults through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress, and employment-related challenges. I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on your needs, while keeping our work personal and realistic. Most importantly, I want you to feel that you have a safe space to be honest, process what you’re going through, and work toward meaningful change.
First session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, your goals, and what you hope to get from therapy. You don’t need to have everything figured out beforehand—we’ll take it one step at a time and work together to create a plan that fits your needs. My hope is that you leave feeling more comfortable with the process, supported, and with a clearer sense of where we can begin.
Strengths
I believe therapy should be tailored to each client’s goals, experiences, and unique needs. I’m comfortable providing space to process and reflect, while also working collaboratively with you to navigate challenges, explore solutions, and develop coping skills. I value being honest and realistic in our work together, while remaining supportive and respectful of where you are in your journey. My goal is to help you feel supported while also making progress toward the changes that are important to you.
Ideal clients
I enjoy working with clients who are open to exploring their experiences and motivated to work toward the changes they want to make. I support adults navigating relationship challenges, life transitions involving school, work, or relationships, as well as everyday stress, anxiety, and depression. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for something to change, I value working together to identify your goals and take steps toward the changes you want to see in your life.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help you better understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can influence one another. We’ll work together to notice patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or anxious, and explore healthier ways of responding. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can better understand yourself, work through challenges, and develop strategies that feel realistic and useful in your everyday life.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use mindfulness to help you slow down, become more aware of what you’re experiencing, and feel more grounded in the present moment. Together, we can explore ways to notice your thoughts and emotions without judgment and develop a greater sense of calm and self-awareness. I’ll introduce mindfulness strategies in a way that feels comfortable and meaningful for you, with a focus on helping you develop tools that feel realistic and useful in your everyday life.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use a solution-focused approach to help you identify what you want to change and build on the strengths and resources you already have. Rather than focusing only on what’s going wrong, we’ll explore what is working, what you hope to be different, and the small steps that can help you move forward. My goal is to support you in creating meaningful change while developing strategies that feel realistic and useful in your everyday life.
Interpersonal
I use Interpersonal Therapy to explore how your relationships and life experiences may be connected to how you’re feeling today. Together, we can look at relationship patterns, communication, boundaries, and changes or challenges in your life that may be affecting your emotional well-being. My goal is to help you feel more confident in your relationships, communicate your needs, and build healthier connections while navigating life’s transitions.
Supportive
I use Supportive Therapy to provide a safe, welcoming space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. Together, we can talk through the challenges you’re facing, process difficult emotions, and identify strengths and coping strategies that can help you navigate life’s ups and downs. My goal is to meet you where you are, offer support without judgment, and help you feel more confident in handling whatever you may be going through.
