New to Grow
I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist who is passionate about helping individuals heal, grow, and reconnect with their strengths. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally competent, and grounded in genuine empathy. I recognize that every person’s experiences, identities, and challenges are unique, and I work collaboratively with clients to honor their personal stories, cultural backgrounds, and values. I believe healing happens within strong therapeutic relationships built on trust, authenticity, and emotional safety. I am committed to helping clients navigate life’s difficulties with compassion and resilience while supporting meaningful growth, self-understanding, and lasting change. Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, stress, or life transitions, I aim to meet you where you are and walk alongside you at your own pace. My goal is to help clients feel not only supported, but also empowered to build healthier relationships, develop effective coping skills, and create a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and aligned with who they are.
The first session will be focused on creating safety, understanding why you’re seeking therapy, and beginning to build a working relationship.
In my practice, I combine warmth, compassion, and emotional safety with firmness, confidence, and the ability to hold boundaries and guide difficult work.
The “ideal” therapy client as someone who is willing to engage in the process. This can look like working with someone who is open to self-reflection and willing to explore emotions and patterns. I enjoy working with people who are curious about themselves and able to tolerate some discomfort. I also enjoy working with people who are honest about their struggles, setbacks, or resistance.
Motivational Interviewing
When using Motivational Interviewing techniques, I focus on being collaborative, nonjudgmental, and focused on helping clients resolve their own ambivalence about change.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
When using ACT techniques, the focus is less on “eliminating” painful thoughts and feelings and more on helping clients build a meaningful life while making room for difficult internal experiences.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
When using CBT techniques, the focus is to helps clients identify and change patterns of thinking and behavior that contribute to emotional distress and life problems.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
When using DBT techniques, the focus is on helping clients develop skills to manage intense emotions, reduce self-destructive behaviors, improve relationships, and build a life worth living.
Strength-Based
A strengths-based approach focuses on identifying and building the client’s existing abilities, resources, resilience, values, and successes rather than focusing primarily on deficits or pathology.
