Allyse Pratt
Hi there, my name is Allyse and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 4 years of experience specializing in treating anxiety and depression. Life can feel overwhelming at times — especially when anxiety or depression begins to affect how you see yourself, your relationships, or your ability to move forward. You don't have to navigate those challenges alone. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and other challenges that can leave them feeling stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about what comes next. I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you can be your authentic self. I approach each person with an open mind, recognizing that everyone brings their own experiences, values, and story into the room. My goal is to understand your experience from your perspective and support you in identifying what matters most to you. My hope is that you feel genuinely seen, connected, and understood throughout our work together — while feeling motivated and empowered to make changes at a pace that's right for you. Reaching out is a meaningful first step, and I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
First session
In our first session, we’ll get to know each other. I’ll invite you to share what brought you in, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope will change. There’s no pressure to say everything at once, and you set the pace. I’ll ask some questions to understand your story, your strengths, and what matters most to you, and we’ll talk about what working together might look like. By the end, you can expect to feel heard, have a clearer sense of our direction, and leave with an initial plan for next steps. It’s also a chance to see whether we’re a good fit.
Strengths
My approach is solution-oriented, open-minded, and empowering. I believe therapy should be a collaborative space where you feel heard, understood, and respected while working toward meaningful change. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, recognize the strengths you already have, and identify practical steps toward the life you want to create.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is an adult who is struggling with anxiety, depression, or a season of life that leaves them feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure what comes next. You may be tired of carrying it all on your own, or you may be wondering why things feel harder than they used to. You don’t need to have it all figured out. If you’re ready to take a first step, and you want a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, I’d love to work with you.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, and how those connections can keep anxiety or low mood going. Together, we’ll identify unhelpful thinking patterns, test whether they’re really serving you, and practice new ways of responding. You’ll learn practical skills, like reframing anxious thoughts, taking small steps toward things you’ve been avoiding, and building routines that support your well-being. We may use brief exercises between sessions to help these skills stick. I tailor CBT to your goals and pair it with a warm, collaborative approach, so it never feels rigid or one-size-fits-all. I often blend CBT with Solution-Focused and Narrative techniques so we’re focusing on your strengths and your story, not just your symptoms.
