In our work together, you will explore ways to evolve into the person you want to be. I have 15 years of experience assisting clients with a wide range of mental health and relational issues. I am highly skilled in trauma-informed, evidence-based, and solution-focused treatment. I will provide a supportive, therapeutic environment for people with diverse backgrounds and complex interpersonal issues. Over the years, I discovered the best way to address dysfunctional thoughts, feelings, and actions is through examining the impact of events in the past, interpersonal interactions, and relationships. Connections to others (or lack thereof) play a role in how we operate, our current ability to feel joy, manage stress, and meet our potential. I became a relationship expert to help others find a resolution to how they are who they are. I believe connection with others is what makes life have meaning for people. I also believe in redemption. People can change.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first meeting will include an assessment and begin developing goals for treatment. We will develop the goals and track improvement together based on a plan unique to you. I will challenge you to explore your past and thought processes as a way to identify avenues of change. You will often have interventions and homework to keep you engaged and actively working on your goals between appointments.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a lifelong learner, I am inspired by the research and new approaches which are always evolving to help people resolve past trauma, improve and evolve.

My treatment methods

Interpersonal

In counseling we will focus on relationships. We will examine how the individual history and dynamics are contributing to communication problems and conflict.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize the evidence based Gottman method to provide the best course of treatment for couples and individual.

Trauma Informed Care

Often current situations, thoughts, and feelings are being informed by past experiences which are no longer present and interfere with the ability to address what is happening in the current situation. The goal is to clear those experiences from influencing the present.

Relational

This approach explores and clears certain thought processes which are impacting an individuals ability to manage relationship issues with family, friends, and work relationships.
