New to Grow
I'm a laid-back, compassionate therapist who takes the time to really get to know you, your story, values, and what feels important right now. I create a space where you can talk openly without judgment, and we move at your pace. I pull from different therapeutic tools depending on what fits best for you, and together we determine what helps you feel supported and move toward the life you want. I help individuals (ages 11+) and couples navigate anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, and life or relationship challenges with compassionate, person-centered, and evidence-based support. Whether you're facing life changes or seeking emotional resilience, I provide a safe space and practical tools to foster growth, clarity, and lasting well-being. Taking the first step toward gaining support can feel daunting, but you’re not alone. Together, we can explore ways to build resilience and gain clarity, helping you move forward with confidence.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and exploring what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask some questions to understand your goals and what support you’re looking for, and I’ll share how I approach the work. The session is collaborative, at your pace, and focused on creating a comfortable foundation for our work together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths lie in my ability to build trust, offer deep empathy, and help clients feel truly seen. I balance validation with gentle challenge, and I integrate approaches like CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and strength‑based work in a way that fits each client’s goals. Clients often share that they leave sessions with more clarity, more tools, and a stronger sense of themselves.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, history of trauma, people-pleasing behaviors, relationship challenges, or life transitions, and you are seeking support to navigate life’s complexities? Do you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about your next steps? Do you desire to understand yourself better, explore healthy ways to cope, and regain control of your life? Would you like to feel more grounded, confident, and resilient in facing life's ups and downs? Are you seeking to develop a deeper sense of well-being, peace, and self-worth? If so, we could be a good fit to work together!
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize CBT regularly in my practice to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I guide clients in identifying unhelpful thinking patterns, practicing new coping skills, and applying strategies between sessions. I adapt CBT techniques to each client’s goals, so the work feels practical and empowering.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I utilize DBT to help clients build skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. I focus on teaching practical tools, reviewing how they’re used in daily life, and balancing acceptance with change. I adapt DBT strategies to each client’s needs and integrate them with other approaches when helpful.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness is a big part of how I work. I use it to help clients slow down, notice what’s happening inside them, and respond rather than react. Sometimes that means doing a short grounding exercise in session, and other times it’s about helping clients develop a more compassionate, present‑moment way of relating to their thoughts and feelings.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I’m trained in person‑centered therapy, and I use its core principles—empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity—to guide my work. I create a supportive, non‑judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences and move toward their own goals. Even when I use other modalities, my approach remains collaborative and client‑led.
Strength-Based
I use a strength‑based approach by helping clients identify and build on their existing skills, values, and resilience. I focus on what’s working, highlight past successes, and support clients in using their strengths to create change. This perspective informs my work even when I integrate other modalities.
