New to Grow
Welcome! I am Quarda- Licensed Clinical Social Worker, professional listener, and occasional over-user of sticky notes. I help people untangle the messy parts of life, whether it's anxiety, relationship hiccups, burnout, or just that nagging feeling that something's "off". My style is supportive, down- to-earth, and sprinkled with humor-- because sometimes laughter really is the best medicine (right after actual therapy of course). I use evidence -based techniques and empathy to assist you in making sense of your story and editing it as you may, build resilience, and move forward with purpose. Therapy doesn't have to be stiff or scary-- and if you're ready to do the work (and maybe laugh a little along the way), I'm here for it.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is all about getting to know you-- no pressure, no performance required. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what's been weighing on you, and what you're hoping might feel different moving forward. You don't need to have the "righty words"or a perfectly organized story. Just come as you are. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, current concerns, and goals. This helps me get a clear picture of how to best support you. We’ll also discuss what’s worked for you in the past (and what hasn’t), so we can build a plan that feels practical and personalized. Most importantly, the first session is about building comfort and connection. You’ll have space to ask questions, share concerns, and decide if we feel like a good fit. Therapy works best when you feel safe, heard, and respected. By the end of our first session, you can expect to leave with greater clarity, an initial direction for our work together, and a sense of what next steps might look like. There’s no need to prepare anything special — just bring yourself.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Therapy with me is not just about processing pain — it’s about building power. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to quickly connect with clients in a way that feels natural, safe, and real. You won’t get a blank stare and a notepad-only experience. You’ll get presence, warmth, insight, and practical guidance. I create an environment where you can be honest without feeling judged — and challenged without feeling pushed. I specialize in helping people who look “fine” on the outside but feel overwhelmed on the inside. High achievers, caregivers, strong friends, teens carrying adult-sized stress — I see you. I help clients untangle the mental noise, identify patterns that keep them stuck, and create clear, actionable steps forward. What truly sets me apart is my balance of compassion and strategy. I don’t just validate your feelings (though we will absolutely do that). I help you build tools, shift perspectives, and move toward change. My strength-based and solution-focused approach means we won’t stay stuck in the problem — we’ll work toward progress. As the founder of Re-Writing Narratives Counseling & Coaching PLLC, empowerment isn’t just a phrase for me — it’s the foundation of my work. I believe you are not your worst decision, your hardest season, or your current struggle. You are capable of growth, clarity, and transformation. If you’re ready for therapy that feels supportive, direct, empowering, and action-oriented — we’ll likely be a strong fit.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are ready for growth b-- even if they're not completely sure where to start yet. My ideal clients may be navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, family conflict, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many are high-functioning on the outside but overwhelmed internally, juggling responsibilities while trying to prioritize their emotional well-being. I especially enoy supporting individuals and families who value self-awareness, open conversation, and practical strategies they can apply in everyday life.
Strength-Based
I use a strength-based approach to help clients identify their existing resilience, abilities, and personal resources while navigating life challenges. Rather than focusing only on problems, we build on what's already working, fostering confidence, empowerment, and sustainable growth. This approach supports clients in reframing their narratives, developing coping skills, and creating meaningful , goal-oriented change.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution- Focused Therapy helps us focus on where you want to go rather than staying stuck in where you've been. We identify small, realistic steps that create forward movement and build confidence along the way. I help clients recognize patterns of success, strengthen coping skills, and create practical solutions that support lasting change.
Family Therapy
I work with families to strengthen communication, resolve conflict, and create healthier connections. Together, we explore patterns, build understanding, and develop practical tools that support stronger relationships at home. My goal is to help families feel heard, supported, and equipped to grow together.
Couples Counseling
Every relationship faces challenges—but you don’t have to face them alone. My couples and marriage counseling services provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space to improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen your connection. Whether you're navigating conflict, life transitions, or simply looking to deepen your bond, I am here to help you grow together.
