My name is Telisha Seagle and I graduated from Liberty university. I love working with people. I am not only a therapist, but I am also a pastor's wife. I strongly believe you should feel comfortable with the therapist you choose and should have a positive therapeutic relationship. I believe that each and every individual is capable of self-direction and growth. In counseling, I strive for a therapeutic relationship with each client that is facilitative to those ends. During sessions, I strive to maintain an environment containing unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness. My therapeutic style is primarily based on an eclectic style, however, I am a Christian therapist but will never push my beliefs on to you. I graduated with a M.A. in professional counseling. We give meaning to our beliefs, which in turn influence our feelings and behaviors. Beliefs are formed from life experiences, both positive and negative. We often feel that our emotions are controlled by others. This, however, is not true. We possess the power to control our thoughts, change our feelings and ultimately modify destructive behaviors. EMDR-play The goals of my treatment are helping lower emotional turmoil, symptom reduction, and/or reframing the presenting problem. I will work in collaboration with your primary care provider or psychiatrist, if you are on medications. I will provide psycho-education to you regarding any mental health diagnosis you receive. I look forward to working with you.

Hello, I’m Dulcie. Have you been struggling and wondering why it’s so hard to feel happy, have a positive outlook, and accomplish the goals you have for your life? Are feelings of disappointment, confusion, and failure contributing to problems with your emotional health and relationships? Do you feel like nothing will ever change so what’s the point in trying? Well, let me tell you why, you are worth it and it’s never too late to invest in YOU! I have many years of experience counseling great people just like you, working together to navigate life’s obstacles, find common sense solutions, and help guide and support you during life transitions. If you allow me to go on this journey of change with you, I will focus on a person-centered approach where your needs, goals, and objectives will be the roadmap for our work together. I will use evidence-based treatment techniques, largely based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you identify and change patterns in thinking and behavior that may be contributing to your current dissatisfaction. But perhaps even more important than the therapeutic approach employed, I will endeavor to build a relationship with you by being present, genuine, honest, and compassionate. I have learned that the outcomes my clients achieve are often a reflection of the strength of our therapeutic relationship. So, are you ready to partner with me as you endeavor to overcome the situations, relationship challenges, or symptoms that seem to be barriers between you and your best life? If so, I am committed to walking with you on your journey.

Life, at times, can present us with extraordinary challenges and circumstances leaving us feeling anxious, overwhelmed, depressed, and even hopeless. Emotions from present or past experiences can become so burdensome that we develop unhealthy ways to cope. Symptoms may become so elevated that they affect our ability to function and interrupt family or social relationships. What I provide is an opportunity to process life's difficulties with someone who cares and has the clinical knowledge to assist you with gaining insight and understanding while developing new strategies and coping skills to manage your mental health day by day. I offer primarily CBT therapy with a person-centered trauma-informed focus.

A little bit about me, my name is Amanda Chilleme, I am a Florida and North Carolina Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Master’s Certified Addiction professional. For the last 11 years I have been helping my clients identify intrinsically important goals, overcoming obstacles, and build the foundation for a better future. My specialty has been working with men and women struggling with both substance abuse and process or behavioral addictions; helping them to find the pathway to a life unencumbered. I also have years of experience treating clients with anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorders, bereavement, trauma, attachment, and personality disorders. As a clinician, I utilize a human focused approach. I am not here to tell you what you need to work on; you already know the “what”. As a clinician, it is my job to help you understand the “why”, and eventually, the “how” (to fix it, overcome it, or just plain throw it away). Your first session, is essentially a two-way interview; as I listen to your story/narrative, and the “rough draft” begins to unfold, WE as a team determine if, 1) I am the right therapist for you, and 2) If you are the right client for me. If we both agree to move forward from the first session, identifying your goals will be your first assignment; giving you the opportunity to do this, helps me to better see how you think and interpret your barriers (i.e. stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, etc.). I am your coach, teammate, and cheer leader! We will focus on one goal at a time. Whether you are just starting this process, or you have been in it for a while, I encourage you to plant that mustard seed, and watch just how beautifully you can grow.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC) with 13 years of experience helping clients work through anxiety and depression. Whether related to work, school, family, relationships, body image, and/or self-esteem, I begin by working with my clients to identify their personal trigger(s). Then, with this framework setting the stage, I provide an environment of understanding and compassion to allow each client to feel safe and supported as they work to set boundaries and meet their goals. I believe my clients already have what they need within to be successful. It's my job and honor to help them unveil their "hidden" potential in ways that are nurturing, non-judgmental, and compassionate.

How would you know if you've met all of your therapy goals? What would that look like for you? What would be different? You deserve to live a full, happy life, be gentle with yourself. Welcome! I am Robyn. These days many people are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and depressed. Sometimes they feel as if no matter what they do, it isn't enough and either they or those around them are never happy with themselves. How about you? Are you trying to manage to be the best parent, spouse, and employee that you can be? Are you struggling with a recent life transition or the loss of a loved one or relationship? Are you lying awake at night reviewing the list of things you think you should have accomplished? Or are you ruminating on what you said to someone, how you said it, and what you should have done differently? You are not alone! Many people experience these feelings and you do not have to continue to feel like this! You CAN FEEL BETTER! I work with adults of all ages who are struggling with these things by providing a safe space to talk about and work through these issues. I strive to empower them to discern their strengths, their priorities, and the barriers to feeling better. Once we’ve done that, I help them find ways to address those barriers and build new coping skills they can use to overcome the challenges of anxiety, depression, managing change, and people-pleasing. Change is not easy! I am impressed by your courage in taking the first step of asking for help to start your journey toward feeling better! You deserve to have someone skilled and trustworthy to guide you to grow and heal. I will compassionately work with you using evidence-based techniques to get beyond the challenges you are experiencing and on the road to feeling better! I’d love to have the privilege of working with you!

Hi, my name is Anna Lanier-Comar. I have been practicing in the mental health field for 17 years. I served in the Air Force Reserves for 8 years as a Mental Health Technician while earning my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I completed the requirements for Licensure while working at an inpatient Eating Disorder Facility in North Carolina. I have been practicing as a Licensed Therapist since 2017. Most of my professional experience is in treating Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar disorder, Borderline personality disorder and Eating disorders. I use a few different modalities in therapy. I work to help clients feel empowered over their human experience; good and bad. If you have not participated in therapy before it can seem a little daunting. During the first session, we will go over your relevant history and compile a list of goals you would like to accomplish while in therapy. In the following sessions, we will increase coping skills and strategies, along with awareness of your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Throughout therapy we will work to increase your resilience, confidence and adaptability to all life has to throw at you, as well as heal from the parts of your past that need your attention.

I have worked with all ages and walks of life in my 25 years of experience. As a seasoned therapist. I believe that a successful outcome of therapy goals begins with a harmonious relationship with the client. This begins with a clear understanding of the needs and desires of the client. My approach is to have a kind, caring and sensitive demeanor, yet, direct and firm as needed to achieve success. I strive to listen well and give appropriate feedback. I attribute my successful record as a therapist to having the education, knowledge, work experience, and confidence to work with each client and consider it a privilege to work with each one. I would be honored to work with you.

I am a nationally registered art therapist and a NC licensed clinical mental health counselor. I use art therapy to help BIPOC women process and explore situations that may be difficult to do so with words alone. You do not need to be a trained artist. Just come as you are and offer yourself the grace you need to open your heart to the exploration process.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by North Carolina rather than a city like Charlotte?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across North Carolina from Raleigh to Greensboro! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in North Carolina.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

What are the "Clients say I'm" badges?

Grow Therapy asks patients about their experience with therapists after they have had a certain number of sessions. After enough responses, we add those characteristics to their profiles to help you find the best online therapists for you. We're still working on collecting this information from all our therapists.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.

Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
