Hey! I'm Crystal. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina. I am trauma informed, and person centered. I help adults navigate life's challenges with compassion. I have experience working with a variety of individuals. I am trained in CBT, MI, and DBT modalities. I also provide supportive care for individuals navigating life after weight loss surgery. My goal is to create a judgment free space where you can explore what's holding you back and discover tools for lasting change. My approach is laid back and flexible. Together we will find strategies that fit your unique needs and values- because therapy should feel like it's made for you. In our work together, you'll find a gentle, down to earth atmosphere. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, and ready to take on your next chapter, whatever that may look like.
I'm genuinely curious about others and want to highlight your strengths. I will take time to get to know you and what brings you to therapy. You don't have to have everything figured out. I'll guide the conversation with questions to help us understand what is going on and what you would like to gain in working together. It's normal to feel nervous at first- my job is to help create a space that feels comfortable.
My strengths are my ability to listen, connect, and meet you where you are. I'm skilled at blending practical strategies with understanding and helping others to feel supported while making meaningful changes.
I work best with adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected and are looking for a supportive space to better understand themselves. This can include areas such as: Trauma Survivors, Mood Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders, Substance Use, Addiction, Interpersonal relationship stress, Stress, Work related stress, Couples Counseling, Career Counseling, Sexual Abuse, Life Transitions, Grief, Divorce and Separation, Bariatric Support, and Parenting,

Humanistic
I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and positive change. Humanistic therapy is a collaborative, compassionate approach that focuses on you as a whole person and not just your symptoms or diagnosis. I help others to discover their own strengths and develop confidence in their own decisions.
Strength-Based
I help clients to identify what is already working and their resiliency, while not ignoring the challenges.
Trauma Informed Care
Past experiences can have lasting impact on how we think, feel, relate to others, and respond to stress. I will create an environment where you feel respected, heard, and in control of your own healing while feeling supported.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use mindfulness approaches to help build awareness of your thoughts and emotions in the present moment. It's not about emptying your mind, but noticing what's there with curiosity and self compassion,. I help clients with grounding, guided meditation, and breathing exercises,
