I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, (LCMHC), and a National Certified Counselor, (NCC) based in the foothills of North Carolina. I received my Masters degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). I have been practicing for over 7 years and have worked with teens and adults on issues surrounding anxiety, depression, career, relationships, school, etc. I help my clients with strategies and skills to have a more fulfilling life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I enjoy working with teens, young adults, and older adults and helping them gain insights to improve their life no matter what stage of life they are in at the time. My clients are motivated and ready for change, but need some tools and strategies to make the change they seek a reality.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have life experience that I bring to our sessions and am able to help my clients see their situation from a different prospective. During my counseling career, I have developed proven strategies to address triggers and/or causes so as to get to the root of the issues.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

I combine evidence based counseling skills and interventions with biblical teachings. During the storms of life, integrating and strengthening ones faith may help you navigate and move through and reach a fulfilled life.

Faith based therapy

I use my client’s faith to help them find their inner strength to help overcome, navigate, repurpose and reframe their trauma to bring healing in their life.

Eclectic

I use other evidence based counseling practices to fit what the client may need and adjust their treatment plan accordingly.

Psychoeducation

I teach my clients, and/or their family, about the nature of their mental health, the etiology, progression, treatments and alternatives so as to produce a better mental health outcome.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use positive psychology principals and practices to help my clients change by constructing goals and solutions rather than focusing on the problems. I want to give my clients the skills for formulating, motivating, achieving, and sustaining desired behavioral change.
