New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in trauma-informed therapy for young adults and adults navigating anxiety, relationship patterns, and the lasting effects of trauma. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in evidence-based practices like EMDR, parts work (IFS), and CBT. I help clients understand the patterns that keep them stuck so they can move toward greater emotional safety, clarity, and connection.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is focused on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your current concerns, relevant life experiences, and what you hope to gain from the process. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, stress, or relationship challenges. You’re also welcome to ask questions about my approach and how therapy works. This session is not about diving into trauma right away. Instead, we focus on building rapport, identifying priorities, and creating a foundation of safety and trust so that therapy can move at a pace that feels manageable for you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is helping clients understand the deeper patterns behind their emotional responses, not just managing symptoms. I take an active and collaborative approach, helping clients connect the dots between past experiences, nervous system responses, and present-day challenges. My work integrates trauma-informed care with evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (parts work), and CBT-informed strategies. This allows therapy to address both insight and nervous system healing. Clients often tell me they appreciate the balance of structure and compassion in our work together. Sessions provide space to explore difficult experiences while also building practical tools for emotional regulation, boundaries, and resilience. My goal is to help clients move from simply functioning in survival mode to feeling more grounded, connected, and aligned in their lives.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with young adults and adults who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, self-doubt, or relationship patterns that seem hard to change. Many of my clients appear high-functioning on the outside but internally feel stuck in survival mode, emotionally disconnected, or constantly overthinking. Clients I work with may struggle with people-pleasing, boundaries, attachment wounds, unresolved trauma, or difficult family dynamics. Others come to therapy during life transitions or periods of emotional exhaustion when coping strategies that once worked no longer feel sustainable. I specialize in helping clients explore how past experiences shape current patterns. Together we work to understand protective responses, build emotional regulation skills, and process experiences that continue to impact the present. Clients who tend to benefit most from working with me are open to a reflective, trauma-informed approach and want to better understand themselves with compassion rather than judgment.
EMDR
I use EMDR to help clients process traumatic or distressing memories so they feel less overwhelming and no longer impact daily life the same way.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I use IFS to help clients understand and heal different parts of themselves, reducing inner conflict and building greater self-compassion.
Faith based therapy
When desired, I integrate Christian faith and biblical principles into therapy to support emotional healing, personal growth, and spiritual strength.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking, coping, and responding to stress.
Trauma Informed Care
I provide trauma-informed care by creating a safe, supportive space where clients can process difficult experiences at a pace that feels manageable.
