Our first session will be gathering information and assessment to determine how I can support you in your healing journey. I will be learning more about you as a person, and also what mental health needs you are having to determine goals and best suited direction of practice.
I am warm, flexible, and creative. I use expressive arts therapy and person-centered modalities to support you in treatment. I try my hardest to meet you where you are as a person and use a strengths based lens to meet you with warmth, positive regard, and support.
Sydney’s approach is grounded in the belief that each person has the ability to discover their strengths, find their voice and share their story using creative therapies and client centered approaches. Sydney’s passions lie within using expressive therapies in counseling as a means for expression, self-exploration, collaboration and as a creative avenue for individuals to reach their therapeutic goals.
I use a mix of different approaches to support my clients such as aspects of CBT, DBT, Person-centered therapy, and Adlerian theory.
I use expressive arts therapy as a specialty to support clients in using creative modalities for healing.
