Hi! I'm Dana, a licensed therapist (LPC) in Philadelphia for adults who are tired of the way their past experiences keep impacting the way they show up in the present, who feel like their feelings are "too much", and who get stuck overthinking everything but are unable to change in the ways they'd like.
If you're struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues and/or low self esteem; I'm here to tell you that there isn't anything 'wrong' with you. You aren't broken, you have simply learned to cope in ways that are no longer serving you. You don't need to be labeled or pathologized, you need to be supported by someone who actually gets you.
The only constant in life is change. I see my primary role as therapist to be acting as steward and support for a client as they grow and change. I strive to create a safe a supportive space where a client can explore their identity without fear of judgement. I also seek to support my clients during their road to recovery from past trauma, attachment issues, and relationship struggles.
I have been working as a therapist trained in supporting folx identifying as LGBTQIA+ as well as trans and gender variant, and have had the honor of supporting teens and adults during their gender exploration and transition. I have exensive training and experience in this area, including training from the CHOP Gender Clinic and through the Mazzoni Center in Philadelphia.
Seeking therapeutic support can be a frightening and stressful experience and I seek to be a grounding support person who can provide the feedback and tools necessary to survive and thrive during this process.
I believe in not just giving ok treatment, but the best available. That’s why I love matching your needs with the best type of therapy that’s also backed up with research to definitely be able to help you. With that, you’re still the expert on you and your life, so you bring your experiences and I’ll bring my knowledge, and together we can figure out how to help you figure out how to get exactly what you’re wanting in life.
I specialize in working with anxieties, depression, trauma, as well as with teens and parents. I’ve worked with kids most of my life in one form or another doing therapy, mentoring, and teaching English abroad. Whatever is bothering you I’m here to help. LGBTQ friendly.
Whatever it is, let me help you, and if there’s something I don’t have the proper expertise in then I also have no problem admitting that and directing you to someone who can help so that you don’t have to waste your time.
I’m here to walk alongside you as we navigate life's trials by providing a place of compassion and truth. As a Christian therapist I believe in the integration of Biblical principles with evidence-based modalities. Much of my professional experience is working with individuals who have experienced trauma and the effects it continues to have in their present day lives. Together we will identify those negatively held beliefs then with truth rooted in both clinical insight and Biblical wisdom discover what is true about who you really are.

Hi, I'm Gioia (Sounds like "Joya"), and welcome. It may have taken courage to find yourself here, so well done, you.
I am a Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who is flexible, affirming and joyful. I seek to find the potential in all things - even the hard, dark stuff. My own lived experience with neurodivergence and chronic illness greatly inform my practice. I use a compassionate, person-centered approach that is solution focused; I seek to incorporate creativity, mind-body connection, and unconditional positive regard in our work together. One can expect to gain psychoeducation, coping skills, and distress tolerance skills to meet one's goals and reach the place one hopes to be. It is my goal to create a space for individuals that is laid back, safe, silly, and affirming so that clients may show up as their full, authentic self. I hope that one leaves our sessions feeling grounded, witnessed, and a lot less alone.
Most people don't need more advice. They need clarity.
I'm Josh, a Licensed Professional Counselor with 12 years of experience helping adults cut through the noise — the overthinking, the emotional cycles, the stuck feeling that tells you something has to change. My approach is direct and practical: we figure out what's actually going on, build a concrete plan, and get to work.
Whether you're managing anxiety, navigating a rough stretch, or just ready to operate differently, I'll give you real tools — not just a space to vent. If you're ready to move, so am I.

Hello, and welcome! My name is Amber Stewart, and I’m a licensed professional counselor (LPC) out of Western Pennsylvania; I'm also licensed in Wisconsin. I specialize in anxiety, self-esteem, depression, and trauma. I want to help you go from just tolerating the symptoms of your anxiety, depression, or trauma to living fully in the present and having a healthy relationship with yourself. You deserve to live the life you envision for yourself, and I want to help you do that by exploring the areas you’re struggling with, teaching you ways to cope, and reducing the impact that these symptoms have on your life by addressing them at their core.
I believe that underlying most (if not all) mental health concerns is some kind of trauma – and, there are many studies that support my belief that trauma is connected to depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns. I invite you to learn more about my approaches to therapy, trauma, and trauma therapy by visiting my website: (www.everystepforward.com). And, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

Hi. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor from Pennsylvania. I received my masters in counseling psychology from Teachers College at Columbia University I have over 20 years experience providing trauma-informed support in a variety of settings. I have worked with people with a variety of concerns, including people dealing with depression concerns, anxiety concerns, substance use and misuse and healing from the impact of trauma.
Hi, I’m Nick. You might be here because you’re tired of pretending you’re fine when you’re really not. Maybe you overthink everything, shut down, get irritated with people you care about, or just feel like you’re carrying a lot and don’t totally know why. For some people, it goes a bit deeper than that. You might have grown up being seen as the “problem” in your family, or the one who got blamed or was maybe made to feel like too much. A lot of the people I work with are LGBTQIA+ or neurodivergent (not everyone, though!), or still figuring that out, and have spent a long time masking parts of themselves just to get through.
That kind of experience can mess with your sense of self. You might second-guess your reactions and feel guilty, or not even be sure what you’re feeling half the time. Therapy with me is a place where you don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t need a perfect explanation or a clear goal, we can just start with whatever feels most relevant.

Hello! I’m Chloe, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 5 years of experience supporting young adults and adults through life’s most challenging moments — both in Intensive Outpatient Programs and outpatient settings.
I graduated from SUNY Albany’s School of Social Welfare in 2019, but my path to social work began even earlier. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the international development sector and spent time in some of the world’s most under-resourced communities. That experience shaped my deep commitment to cultural humility and my belief that every person’s story deserves to be heard on its own terms. Originally from London, I moved to the US in 2017, and my own experience navigating life across cultures deepens my appreciation for how much context shapes who we are.
At the heart of my work is a person-centered, strengths-based approach - I see therapy as a collaboration where you’re the expert on your own life and my role is to walk alongside you. I take a trauma-informed approach, recognizing that trauma shows up in many forms and has a very real impact on everyday life. I am EMDR-trained and draw on CBT and DBT techniques to offer a well-rounded, evidence-based experience, while keeping the relational, human side of therapy at the core. I am also neurodiversity-affirming and committed to creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are.
When I’m not in session, you’ll likely find me outside - running (slowly), walking a nature trail, or catching up with a friend over an iced coffee.
If you’re navigating a difficult season or transition, I’d be honored to support you.
"Welcome. I'm Jeanette DeSilva, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), with 16 years dedicated to walking alongside individuals on their journey to lasting freedom from issues such as anxiety and depression, destructive behaviors and addiction or those who are just wanting help developing a deeper spiritual life and rebuild their relationship with God.
In our work together, I integrate the evidence-based principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The core idea of CBT is that our thoughts significantly influence our feelings and behaviors. Together we'll work collaboratively to identify and re-frame unhelpful thought patterns, belief systems and behaviors that contribute to mental health struggles, poor self-image, relationship issues, grief and loss and destructive behaviors like unhealthy coping.
My goal is to equip you with practical and therapeutic skills and strategies to navigate the challenges of mental health disturbances, addiction issues or just difficult life struggles you may currently be facing. If spirituality is an important aspect of your life and you are wanting it a part of your therapeutic process, as a Christian Counselor I am skilled in utilizing biblical principles such as scripture, prayer and meditation into proven therapeutic approaches to help in building a strong arsenal to overcome and resolve life's challenges and walk in complete healing and freedom. Science and faith can truly work together.
We will focus on:
Addressing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and interpersonal/relational conflict resolution. I am also extensively experienced in substance abuse and addictions.
Identifying and Resolving Destructive Behaviors: Addressing any unwanted behaviors such as substance abuse, self-medicating behaviors or just cycles and patterns of critical inner dialogue and destructive core beliefs blocking your growth.
You are not alone in this struggle. I offer a non-judgmental, empathetic space where we can work together to help you achieve lasting emotional/mental change.
Hi, I'm Coreen!
Are you struggling to manage stress? Are your relationships suffering? Do you feel disconnected from yourself?
I will help you explore your core identity and values as you work toward building the life you want. Together we will determine what is and is not working for you - mind, body, and spirit. We will also work on building new skills along the way.
I practice with a humanistic, relational lens, working to build trust in an empathetic, nonjudgmental environment and support you in setting individualized goals to meet your needs. I believe in the importance of self-compassion in fueling personal growth and will work hard to assist you in embodying your true self.

Hello! My name is Anna, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have over 15 years providing therapy and supportive service to children, teenagers, adults, and older adults across Pennsylvania.
My experience includes Outpatient Mental Health, Outpatient and Inpatient Addiction, School Based Therapy and Services, Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence, and Children and Adults of all genders and identities.
My clients come to me because they want to deepen and strengthen their relationships - not just with each other, but with themselves. They want to understand the family and societal systems that shaped them into who they are today, and to heal old wounds and trauma so that they can move forward from a place of strength, healing, and connection. Many of my clients exist at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities, and have struggled to find a therapist who will understand and not further stigmatize their identities, and who is committed to unlearning systems of oppression. I seek to provide a healing space for them.
I primarily draw from Internal Family Systems, Narrative, & Gottman therapies in my work, as well as specializing in working with LGBTQ+ clients. My goal is to help clients understand and articulate different "parts" of themselves, and deepen their curiosity and compassion for the parts that present barriers to healing.
My constant intention is to provide culturally sensitive and affirming care, as well as a safe and affirming space for you to explore your strengths and challenges. I welcome feedback at every step of the process - communication is the backbone of any relationship, including the therapeutic one! I look forward to hearing from you and taking our next step.

Licensed professional counselor with extensive experience specializing in attachment-based therapy and trauma-informed care. Skilled in helping individuals and families explore early relational bonds to foster secure, meaningful connections and promote emotional healing. Deeply committed to creating a safe, supportive therapeutic space that empowers clients to process unresolved trauma and develop healthier, more fulfilling relationships. My own journey has been shaped by years of infertility, grief and loss, navigating being a new mom of twins, a NICU stay followed by other medical complexities. These experiences taught me the power of resilience, empathy, and genuine connection.
Hi,
I am Diane Smith, a licensed practicing counselor in Pennsylvania. Congratulations on deciding to do therapy. I have worked in clinical counseling psychology for 14 years. I love to help people achieve their goals. We all go through difficult times, and I am trained to help people overcome obstacles.
Together, we can work on the issues that are holding you back. It doesn't matter if it's anxiety, depression, you're burned out, poor boundaries, OCD, addictions, relationship issues, grief, and loss; you name it, we can handle it. You deserve to live your best life.
If you are new to therapy, don't worry. It's like talking to a good friend who is legally bound to not share a word you say. There are 3 reasons when I am legally bound to report, since I am a mandated reporter: 1. You threaten to kill the president 2. You threaten to harm yourself. 3. You threaten to harm someone else.
Also, you won't be judged for anything you tell me. People do what they do for many reasons. Most of my clients say that I am very easy to talk to and that they feel safe sharing with me. I hope that you give me a shot! I look forward to going on a journey with you.
FYI*** Please give 24 hours' advanced notice if you can not attend an appointment or you will be charged $50.00
Also, If you do not show up for an appointment you will be charged $50.00 as well.
I only get my hourly fee if I meet with the client for the allotted time. If the client does not show I don't get paid.
Thanks for your time,
Diane Smith

I have experience working inpatient and outpatient with client's experiences trauma, PTSD, severe and persistent mental health and substance abuse. Outside of sessions, I enjoy running, spending time with my dog, and keeping up with my two kids.
As of 1/7/2025 only accepting individual clients for new referrals!
My passion is working with children, teenagers, young adults, couples and families to process trauma and difficult experiences so they can experience growth and healing within themselves and their relationships. Through my work with individuals and family's I have learned the deep importance of understanding "what has happened" to people rather than viewing people through the lens of "what is wrong with people". Likewise, the importance of understanding one's family of origin and how this shapes our views of people and the world and impacts how we relate with people and navigate our world. I work from a relational, psychodynamic, family-systems, trauma-informed, and neurobiological perspective. Feel free to reach out for more information!

As a licensed professional counselor, I provide an empathetic approach to counseling. My goal is to create a trusting environment to build a positive therapeutic relationship. By doing this, my client is able to discuss those issues they may have never disclosed before.
My specialty is in behavior modification for children (beginning at 3 years old) and also trauma for children through adults. I also have experience working with anxiety, depression, bereavement, ADHD, self-harm, mood disorders, personality disorders, and anger management. I use evidence-based therapy such as CBT, TF-CBT, and EMDR
I use a warm, non-judgmental approach to help clients better understand their patterns of feeling, thinking, and behaving and to learn to cope and communicate in healthier ways.
The therapy I use is person-centered, and I also use some skills from DBT and CBT. While working together, we will explore how our relationships, both current and past, help us understand what is happening now. Our past shapes some core beliefs about ourselves. Through therapy, we can challenge these negative thoughts and work toward a greater, more fulfilling life.
