I’m a trauma-informed therapist with over 20 years of experience supporting people through their healing journey. I bring deep empathy, compassion, and a holistic approach that honors your mind, body, and spirit. As a marathoner, I understand the strength it takes to keep going — even when the path feels long. I believe in the power of listening to your intuition and gently rebuilding trust in yourself. A big dog lover, I also bring warmth, presence, and genuine care into every session. This work is my true purpose, and I feel incredibly grateful to do it. I especially love working with motivated clients who are ready to invest in themselves — those who want to explore different ways of healing, take ownership of their growth, and show up with courage and insight. If you’ve experienced trauma and are ready to do the meaningful work of healing, I would be truly honored to walk this path with you. You’ve already taken a brave step by being here, and I’m so glad you are.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I see our first session as a warm, collaborative conversation between two people committed to your healing. I work to create a safe, compassionate space filled with care and free of judgment — a place where you can gradually feel comfortable being vulnerable and focusing fully on yourself and your needs, without carrying the burden of shame. We’ll move at your pace, and I’ll be right there with you as we begin this journey together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What truly sets my approach apart is that I choose to show up in every therapeutic relationship with fierce love and deep compassion. I hold the experiences and pain you’ve carried alone with care and steadiness, while thoughtfully integrating evidence-based modalities and a strong clinical perspective. This powerful blend of heartfelt support and skilled trauma work creates the safety and trust necessary for real, lasting healing and transformation.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m a trauma therapist passionate about helping highly motivated individuals create meaningful, lasting healing and change. My ideal clients are ready to actively engage in their growth journey. They take ownership of their behaviors, bring a strong degree of self-awareness and insight, and are open to exploring a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to their unique needs. If you’re committed to doing the work, willing to lean into discomfort, and motivated to transform your relationship with past trauma, I would love to partner with you. Together, we can move beyond survival mode and build a life that feels safer, freer, and more fulfilling. Vulnerability takes courage and I always want to honor that when someone shows up in this way.

My treatment methods

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

In the realm of therapy, IFS stands out as a unique and deeply transformative approach. IFS recognizes that each of us possesses a multitude of internal "parts," each with its own voice, needs, and role. These parts can influence our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Working in collaboration, we will explore the intricate dynamics within yourself, learning to understand and harmonize these parts. IFS helps you: Gain self-compassion and self-acceptance. Heal emotional wounds and trauma. Cultivate a sense of inner calm and balance. Make choices aligned with your true self.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is a highly effective therapeutic approach for individuals dealing with overwhelming emotions, self-destructive behaviors, and challenging relationships. As your therapist, I can guide you in learning DBT skills to enhance emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. With DBT, you'll acquire tools to: Manage intense emotions with grace and resilience. Navigate difficult situations and relationships more skillfully. Cultivate mindfulness and live in the present moment. Create a life worth living.

I felt very comfortable with Fawn. She had read my background and was very prepared for our session.

I found Fawn Moyer very inconsiderate and a bit rude. While she did encourage me to talk, most of her responses seemed only geared towards securing me as a client and not necessarily helping with my issues. I felt her "congratulations on being able to be vulnerable as a black man" comment to be both patronizing and offensive. I found Fawn's attempts to direct me to her website underhanded, and I did not enjoy the experience.
