My ideal client is someone who recognizes that life presents with many challenges and understands that receiving help is not a sign of weakness, rather it is strength. Those life challenges maybe due to stress, health issues, family conflicts, or something more, but they are looking to identify, process, and gain needed support and skills to conquer those challenges. They are looking for someone who will encourage them, keep them accountable, and be open and honest with them. I feel that therapy is more than an occupation for me, rather it is a calling. I will be a listening ear, support, encourager, and support for my clients. I believe that encouraging is a gift which I possess and freely give, and when my clients are going through some of their toughest battles, understanding that they are not alone really matters. There are many different providers who are looking to support and help clients, which is good, because finding the right provider absolutely makes a difference. I want to be a support, sounding board, and ally to work through crisis, challenges, and even give a different perspective. Life is hard, but finding the right provider should not be.

Hello, and welcome. I’m so glad you’re here. I look forward to working with you and your family. I believe communication—even when it is limited to a single word or gesture—is the foundation of all relationships. In fact, research shows that much of our communication is nonverbal. My goal is to help individuals and families understand their relational patterns, navigate conflict more effectively, and become more congruent and intentional communicators. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use concerns and relapse prevention, grief and trauma, and bipolar disorders. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in helping clients feel safe, understood, and empowered as they move through life’s challenges. Additionally, I specialize in autism-related family dynamics, caregiver burnout, and identity transitions. I am the author of Dear Single Mother: A Journal of Autism, Isolation, and Self-Discovery, a reflective work that explores resilience and meaning-making through lived experience. While my writing reflects personal insight, my clinical work is rooted in systemic, trauma-informed care that honors both evidence-based practice and each client's unique experiences in the therapy room.

Hi there — I’m Madison (Gabriel) Long, LCMHC, NCC, a licensed therapist based in North Carolina and South Carolina, and I’m passionate about helping people move from feeling stuck into genuinely living. My training includes trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT), child-centered play therapy (CCPT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), and I’m currently pursuing certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). Whether you’re navigating the unique emotional terrain of pregnancy or postpartum, healing from past trauma, or managing the ever-changing demands of parenting and family life, I’m here with you — through the ups, downs, and in-between. I offer virtual therapy so you can meet with me from wherever you are in NC, right when it works for you. I do this work because I believe growth happens when we feel safe enough to face what we’ve been avoiding, and strong enough to embrace the next step. Not only have I been where many of you are, I’ve also had the privilege to see clients emerge from seasons of pain, parenting chaos, trauma’s shadow, and come into more grounded, more resilient selves — and it is an honor to be part of that process. If you’re ready to start feeling grounded, nourished, and confident again — I’d be honored to walk beside you.

My name is Jennifer Bailey, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Drama Therapist. I help clients identify and pursue the goals that lead to a life filled with meaning, pride, and contentment. Now, you may be wondering: “What exactly is a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT)?” Simply put, it means I integrate elements of theater and creative expression into the therapeutic process. With me, you have options. You might choose a traditional talk-therapy session to explore your thoughts, emotions, and goals. Or, if words don’t feel like enough, you might try something more experiential—writing, movement, role-play, or even reimagining and practicing conversations that keep replaying in your mind. Talk therapy is a powerful tool for growth, but sometimes it takes more than words to truly process what’s happening inside. That’s where creativity can open new doors. Whether through conversation, movement, sound, or artistic expression, I provide a space where you can choose what feels most healing and helpful. I would be honored to support you—whether that’s working toward personal goals, processing difficult emotions, or making positive and lasting changes in your life.

I am a Colorado and South Carolina Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience working with: individuals in the midst of grief and other major phase-of-life transitions like divorce, job loss, legal challenges, etc.; teenagers who are struggling with a variety of mental health challenges; couples and families that are struggling to find common ground; and fractured families prior to, during, and after divorce. Building strong families, even through divorce or custody battles, incarceration, or other prolonged periods of estrangement, is a particular area of focus for me. I offer reintegration therapy services for parents and children who have experienced short- and long-term separation or alienation. I love working with families who want to find a way to function better post-divorce. In addition, I spent a decade working for the Alzheimer's Association, which included counseling individuals and families who were facing a diagnosis of dementia. Prior to venturing into the counseling field, I ran a non-profit that operated a 100-bed homeless shelter, a family transitional housing program, and an eight-unit supportive housing project for Veterans. I have a heart for working with military veterans and their families -- having 22 years of service in the US Air Force myself. I served on Active Duty for 6 years, and after a break in service, completed another 16 years as a Reservist. My spouse served alongside me, with each of us deploying twice. Our son is currently serving as well. Therefore, I have been the deployed service member, the spouse left to manage things back home, and the mom watching her "baby" deploy to far-off places. There is almost no part of military service I do not understand through first-hand experience.

Hi! I'm Jasmine and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that has been practicing therapy for 6 years. I obtained a Bachelors in Psychology in 2010 at Eastern Michigan University and completed my Master of Social Work at Johnson C. Smith University, graduating in 2017. Do you have a hard time with change and life transitions? Do you feel overstimulated and unable to ground yourself? Do you feel isolated or "different" from everybody else? Are you exploring your identity, sexuality, or self-image? Are you seeking a therapist who can provide an atmosphere where you feel comfortable enough to vent, find relief, and explore your story– however unconventional it may be? Do you crave a space where you can find yourself or be encouraged to be the expert on your life while being held accountable for your goals? If you want to live a life that aligns with your values or true identity while communicating and reinforcing your boundaries, I can help you get there. Together, using strength-based and person-centered therapy with a psychodynamic touch (and a healthy dose of humor), we can partner and begin your journey to building the confidence to be who you are and enhancing your strengths. Finally, feel self-assured in your value and speak up for what you want in your life, relationships, and career. If you’re ready to build a happy, thriving life while being true to yourself, let’s chat today. I come from a military family that has been located throughout the United States, allowing me the opportunity to meet people from varying cultures and backgrounds. This has contributed to my ability to become more culturally competent and open-minded when working with different clients. When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m... Either out and about on the town attending open mics, enjoying brunch, having fun at concerts or at home watching the Food Network, cartoons, dramas, and comedies.

I am a compassionate and client-centered therapist who is dedicated to helping individuals navigate challenges related to depression, anxiety, and trauma. My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based practices that empower clients to better understand their experiences, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives. I integrate several therapeutic modalities in my work, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based approaches. Through these methods, I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful or “stuck” beliefs related to past experiences, strengthen personal motivation for growth, and develop greater awareness of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in the present moment. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported as they explore difficult emotions and experiences. Together, we work to develop practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and cultivate healthier perspectives that support long-term well-being. I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are navigating trauma, stress, life transitions, and mood or anxiety-related concerns. Whether you are seeking to process past experiences, manage overwhelming emotions, or build new coping strategies, therapy can be a powerful step toward healing and personal growth.

With more than 15 years of experience in mental health and education, I work with adolescents, teens, and adults facing anxiety, stress, behavioral concerns, emotional challenges, and life's many transitions. My style is supportive, practical, and direct. I believe in plain talk over a lot of clinical jargon and helping people make real progress in ways that actually fit their lives. Therapy should feel like a real conversation where you can be yourself, talk openly about what's going on, and leave with a clearer understanding of your situation and where you'd like to go next.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across the entire state. If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near your address.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
