About me

I’m a compassionate, approachable counselor who provides a safe, judgment-free space where clients can feel heard, understood, and supported. I work collaboratively with each client to navigate life transitions, stress, anxiety, relationships, self-doubt, and emotional challenges while developing practical tools that fit their unique needs. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, build healthier patterns, and feel more confident in your ability to handle whatever comes next.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first few sessions, we’ll focus on getting to know you, understanding what brought you to counseling, and discussing what you would like to work on. We’ll talk about your experiences, strengths, goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and get comfortable with the counseling process, and together we’ll create a plan that feels supportive and realistic for you. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out—we’ll take it one step at a time.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring warmth, empathy, and authenticity to each session. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being open and know that they are truly being heard. I’m a strong listener who focuses on understanding the whole person rather than just the challenges they are experiencing. I also bring a practical, strengths-based perspective, helping clients recognize their existing abilities while developing realistic tools they can use in their everyday lives. My goal is to meet each client where they are, work collaboratively toward their goals, and help them feel supported, empowered, and confident throughout the process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is ready to pause, reflect, and make meaningful changes in their life. They may be struggling with anxiety, stress, relationships, self-confidence, emotional overwhelm, or navigating a transition and may feel unsure about what comes next. They are looking for a supportive space to process what they are experiencing without judgment while gaining a clearer understanding of themselves and their needs. My clients may come to therapy feeling stuck or overwhelmed, but they are willing to explore new perspectives, learn practical coping skills, and take steps toward feeling more balanced, confident, and in control of their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns of thinking that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, self-doubt, or feeling stuck, and work toward developing healthier and more balanced perspectives. I incorporate practical CBT strategies that clients can use in their everyday lives, while also helping them build awareness, coping skills, and confidence. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each client, so CBT becomes a tool for creating meaningful and lasting change rather than simply focusing on changing thoughts.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness-based techniques to help clients become more present, aware of their thoughts and emotions, and better connected to what they need in the moment. I use practical strategies such as grounding, mindful breathing, and increasing awareness of thoughts and feelings without judgment. These techniques can help clients slow down, manage emotional responses, reduce feelings of overwhelm, and respond to challenges more intentionally. I tailor mindfulness to each client and focus on simple skills they can realistically incorporate into their everyday lives.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to help clients better understand and manage their emotions, navigate difficult situations, and develop healthier ways of responding to stress. I use practical skills such as mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication to help clients feel more in control of their responses. My approach is supportive and collaborative, helping clients build on their existing strengths while learning skills they can apply in their everyday lives and relationships.

Play Therapy

I incorporate play-based interventions to help children and adolescents express emotions, explore experiences, and develop healthy coping skills in a way that feels natural and comfortable for them. Through age-appropriate activities, creative expression, games, and guided play, I help clients build emotional awareness, problem-solving skills, communication, and confidence. I use play as a way to connect with younger clients and create a safe environment where they can express themselves when they may not yet have the words to explain what they are feeling. My approach is individualized and developmentally appropriate, allowing each client to engage in the therapeutic process at their own pace.
