Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session will focus on creating a warm, supportive space where you could share your experiences at your own pace. I will listen with empathy, reflect your feelings and strengths, and explore what brought you to counseling. Together, we will begin to identify your hopes for therapy and make steps to continue building a trusting, collaborative relationship.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach stands out because I recognize that healing and self-discovery look different for everyone. By integrating music, poetry, movement, art, cognitive behavioral therapy, and positive psychology, I offer a variety of ways for you to explore emotions, express your experiences, and develop practical tools for meaningful change. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I meet you where you are and adapt the therapeutic process to your unique needs, strengths, comfort level, and goals. I bring creativity, flexibility, empathy, and compassion to my work. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted while moving at a pace that feels right for you. Through cognitive behavioral therapy, I can help you recognize and shift unhelpful patterns in your thoughts and behaviors. Positive psychology allows us to build upon your strengths, resilience, and sense of hope. I understand that words alone may not always fully capture what you are feeling or experiencing. By incorporating expressive and evidence-informed techniques, I support the whole person - your thoughts, emotions, body, creativity, and lived experiences. Together, we can uncover the obstacles that may be holding you back, deepen your self-awareness, and help you move toward greater fulfillment and progress in your life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

The ideal client is one who is ready for change and therapy or has a desire to grow, if not completely ready. A person who is not being forced into counseling by parents, academic institutions or legal entities. My ideal client is someone who is ready to explore their experiences with curiosity and openness, even if they are unsure where to begin. You may be experiencing stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, life transitions, creative blocks, or patterns that leave you feeling stuck. You do not need to have everything figured out - only a willingness to show up authentically and engage in the process at a pace that feels comfortable. I work especially well with individuals who are open to both traditional talk therapy and creative forms of expression, including music, poetry, art, and movement. Together, we can identify obstacles, recognize unhelpful thought patterns, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools that support meaningful growth. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to move toward the life you want.
