About

Have you been carrying more than you let other people see? Maybe anxiety has been running the show, and you can’t seem to quiet your mind or concentrate. Maybe a relationship has left you feeling confused or stuck. Or maybe you’re carrying so much that you don’t even know where to start. Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress, grief, self-esteem, and personal growth. Many of the people I work with feel stretched thin, pulled in multiple directions, and under constant pressure. Over time, that pressure can affect how they think, feel, and respond to the people around them. Together, we’ll slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and identify practical steps that move you toward the life you want. My approach is warm, collaborative, and action-oriented. I believe therapy should provide insight, but it should also equip you with skills you can use long after our work together ends.

First session

Your first session is about getting to know you, not just the concern that brought you to therapy. You’re more than your anxiety, relationship, or current challenge. You’re a whole person, and I want to understand the whole you. We’ll talk about what brought you in, but we’ll also explore other areas of your life that influence your well-being, including your relationships, support system, stress, sleep, physical health, daily routines, and strengths. Sometimes the missing piece isn’t where people expect to find it. You don’t have to know exactly where to begin or have all the answers. We’ll work together to identify what’s been getting in your way, establish meaningful goals, and begin creating a plan that feels realistic and manageable.

Strengths

I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation. Your job is to be you, flaws and all. You don’t have to pretend you’ve got everything together or show up as a polished version of yourself. Clients often describe me as warm, genuine, and easy to talk to. I balance empathy with accountability, creating a space where you feel heard while also helping you recognize patterns, challenge beliefs that no longer serve you, and build practical skills for everyday life. When we work together, you’ll quickly learn that I cut up, so prepare to laugh. Therapy can absolutely be serious, but it doesn’t have to feel serious every minute. I’ll also give you a heads up whenever I’m about to go full nerd because I enjoy helping clients understand the “why” behind what they’re experiencing. Understanding the why often makes the next step feel much clearer.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone who’s tired of surviving and ready to start moving forward. They may be carrying more than they let others see and feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or uncertain about what comes next. They’re looking for a therapist who is warm, genuine, and easy to talk to, but who will also ask thoughtful questions, gently challenge them, and provide practical strategies they can use outside of session. They value real conversations, a little humor when appropriate, and are open to learning more about themselves as they work toward meaningful, lasting change.

Treatment methods

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

I help clients slow down and examine the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we explore whether the stories they’re telling themselves are supported by the evidence or influenced by assumptions, past experiences, or self-doubt. My goal isn’t to tell clients what to think, but to help them become more curious, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, and respond in ways that better align with the life they want to create.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck, develop healthier coping strategies, and practice practical skills they can use in everyday life.

Couples Counseling

Relationships can become stuck when partners stop feeling heard, understood, or connected. I help couples slow conversations down, improve communication, recognize unhealthy patterns, and navigate conflict more effectively. Rather than taking sides, I create a balanced space where both partners can feel heard while we work together to strengthen understanding, rebuild trust when possible, and move toward healthier ways of relating to one another.

Family Therapy

Every family has its own strengths, challenges, and patterns. Together, we’ll slow things down, explore what’s contributing to conflict or disconnection, and identify healthier ways to communicate and support one another. Rather than focusing on blame, we’ll work toward understanding, accountability, and practical solutions that help the family move forward together.
