Welcome, and thank you for stopping by! My name is Karie Bliss, and I'm thrilled to connect with you. As a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), my mission is to empower you to understand, manage, and overcome anxiety and past traumas. I specialize in providing therapy services for individuals navigating through anxiety, depression, and grief; including panic and ptsd.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session, we will explore what brought you to therapy. Together we will set clear, specific, goals that can help you measure your progress. I often use strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing as well as Somatic experiences in my practice, but may employ a variety of different treatment types to support you for your specific wants and needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths are bringing a new perspective to the therapy session. I enjoy learning what has been working for you as well as not, then building on that to improve your life's path. My job is to meet you where you are at currently, in a non-judgmental fashion, offering authenticity without our therapy space.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My clients are eager to improve, but may not yet have the tools and strategies to do so. I work well with people whom have panic symptoms, sleepless nights, stress, and anxiety that could have come from traumatic events. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults on their positive life journey.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have many hours of training in CBT and TFCBT to assist within our sessions.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I have used this method for over the past 10 years with great success. I have helped trauma victims become survivors as well as military personnel cope with the aftermath of their experiences.

Trauma Informed Care

I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, polyvagal relaxation techniques, as well as somatic experiences to assist in releasing old patterns of behavior, unhelpful ways of thinking, and improved emotional regulation

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I utilize mindfulness and working on being in the present moment throughout each session.

Eclectic

I use techniques from Adlerian, Acceptance and Commitment, IFS, DBT, and solution focused within sessions. I attempt to use the strategies that are a best fit for your needs, to help you on your individual path, for positive growth and change.
