ADHD
Hi, I’m Michelle. If you feel overwhelmed, disorganized, stuck in procrastination, or frustrated that everyday tasks seem harder than they should, you’re not alone, and you’re not lazy or broken. I specialize in helping adults with ADHD, including those who are newly diagnosed, have lived with ADHD for years, or are beginning to wonder whether ADHD may explain some of their struggles. Together, we explore how ADHD may affect the way you think, feel, function, relate to others, and navigate everyday life. My approach is warm, collaborative, practical, and strengths-based. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, psychoeducation, and executive-functioning support to help reduce shame, increase self-understanding, and build practical tools that fit your life and the way your brain works. When appropriate, I may also incorporate EMDR to address distressing experiences, chronic shame, or negative beliefs that have developed through years of criticism, rejection, or feeling misunderstood. My work is also shaped by personal experience with ADHD, which has provided additional perspective alongside my professional training. This combination allows me to approach clients with both clinical expertise and an appreciation for the nuanced ways ADHD can affect daily life. My goal is to help you feel more confident, capable, and supported in creating a life that works with your brain rather than against it. For clients who would like to incorporate their faith into therapy, I also offer Christian counseling in a supportive and natural way.

Hi, I’m Tara. I’m a professional counselor with 19 years of experience helping children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change. I became a therapist because I’ve always had a heart for helping people feel seen, heard, understood, and supported—especially during seasons when life feels overwhelming, relationships feel difficult, or you simply aren’t sure what comes next. My approach to therapy is warm, genuine, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I want therapy to feel like a safe place where you can show up as you are without fear of judgment. You don’t need to have the perfect words or know exactly where to begin. We’ll start where you are and figure out the next steps together. I work with clients experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship and family difficulties, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, parenting challenges, and communication struggles. I use an individualized approach that may incorporate CBT, DBT, EMDR, trauma-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and client-centered therapy. I am also a Registered Play Therapist, and working with children and families is an important part of my practice. I use play and developmentally appropriate approaches to help children express emotions, develop coping skills, and work through experiences in ways that feel natural to them. One phrase that guides much of my work is “Awareness creates choice.” When we begin to understand ourselves, our patterns, and our experiences differently, we create opportunities to make different choices. My goal is for you to leave therapy not only feeling better, but also understanding yourself better and feeling more confident navigating whatever comes next.

Hi there — I’m Madison (Gabriel) Long, LCMHC, NCC, a licensed therapist based in North Carolina and South Carolina, and I’m passionate about helping people move from feeling stuck into genuinely living. My training includes trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT), child-centered play therapy (CCPT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), and I’m currently pursuing certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). Whether you’re navigating the unique emotional terrain of pregnancy or postpartum, healing from past trauma, or managing the ever-changing demands of parenting and family life, I’m here with you — through the ups, downs, and in-between. I offer virtual therapy so you can meet with me from wherever you are in NC, right when it works for you. I do this work because I believe growth happens when we feel safe enough to face what we’ve been avoiding, and strong enough to embrace the next step. Not only have I been where many of you are, I’ve also had the privilege to see clients emerge from seasons of pain, parenting chaos, trauma’s shadow, and come into more grounded, more resilient selves — and it is an honor to be part of that process. If you’re ready to start feeling grounded, nourished, and confident again — I’d be honored to walk beside you.

You've built the career✔️ You've shown up for your family✔️ You've handled all the responsibilities, solved the problems, and kept moving forward even when things got heavy✔️ From the outside, it looks like you have it all together; but lately, something feels off. You feel stuck. Maybe your relationship isn't where you want it to be. Maybe anxiety has become YOUR constant companion. You may be navigating a divorce/breakup, a career change, or simply wondering how you got so far from the person you used to be. The one thing you have the most clarity on is that you've spent years taking care of everyone else, so you know you're capable and resilient. But you also know, you don't want to keep living like 'this.' I help high-achieving adults navigate relationship challenges, anxiety, and life transitions so they can reconnect with who they are, communicate more effectively, and move forward in life with more confidence.

Hi, I’m Joe. I’ve worked in the mental health field for 27 years across substance use treatment, outpatient care, and hospital settings. I work well with young adults, adults, and families who are navigating stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, or major life changes. I also have extensive experience working with men who may struggle to express emotions directly and instead feel stuck in withdrawal, irritability, or self-doubt. Hi, I’m Devin. I’m happy that you’re here, and I want you to know that reaching out for support is a meaningful first step. I believe therapy should feel welcoming, collaborative, and human—not like a job interview. My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, explore your strengths, and begin building greater confidence in your ability to heal, grow, and move forward. I work with individuals who are navigating several challenges in life such as depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, burnout, relationship or friendship challenges, and low self-esteem. Together, we can identify practical tools and coping skills that support your emotional wellbeing while also making space to understand the deeper experiences that may be contributing to what you are feeling. Most importantly, I believe you should have a voice in your healing process. You deserve to feel supported, empowered, and more in control of your life. When you are ready, I would be honored to walk alongside you as you begin taking steps toward healing, redemption, and a stronger sense of self.

The model I use to work with couples is attachment based and a non-medical approach to couples therapy and is unable to be billed through insurance. I have been a Marriage and Family Therapist for 20+ years and continue to feel honored to provide a space of curiosity, reflection, non-judgment and authenticity in order to support individuals and couples in making the changes they want to make in their own lives and in relationships. I have worked with people across various cultures and in many different walks of life-from people struggling with addiction, to immigrants resettling in the US, to people needing some support in navigating a life transition. I currently focus most of my work in private practice on working with people who are wanting to improve their relationships, learn ways to better manage emotions, heal from trauma or improve their relationship with food and body.

Hi, I’m Brooke, a licensed therapist who helps adults find relief from anxiety, heal from trauma, and navigate the transitions that life inevitably brings. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative . I want you to feel comfortable, understood, and supported from the very beginning. I primarily draw from CBT, ACT, and EMDR, but I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I get to know you as a person so that we can tailor therapy to what works best for you. Clients often describe me as “calming,” and I think that reflects the kind of space I try to create : one where you can let your guard down, explore what’s happening beneath the surface, and begin to move toward real change. I became a therapist because I know what it’s like to suffer and I believe that no one should have to stay stuck in pain or face it alone.

I’m a licensed therapist who supports women who have spent most of their lives being the strong one, the responsible one, and the over-functioner for everyone else. Many of the women I work with grew up emotionally neglected or learned early on that their value came from how much they could carry. Maybe you’re the person everyone counts on, the one who handles things, keeps going, and appears to have it all together. But underneath that, you may be anxious, emotionally exhausted, constantly overthinking, or struggling in relationships. You may find yourself people-pleasing, feeling guilty for saying no, putting everyone else’s needs before your own, or wondering why the same patterns keep showing up even when you know you want something different. I work with adults who want to understand where these patterns come from and begin changing them. Often, our work explores how family dynamics, childhood experiences, and past relationships have shaped the way you view yourself, manage emotions, set boundaries, and connect with others. This isn’t about blaming the past. It’s about understanding what you learned to do to cope or feel connected and deciding what still serves you today. For some clients, these patterns become even more noticeable after becoming a parent. Parenthood can bring up unexpected emotions about your own childhood, your relationship with your parents, and what you want to carry forward or intentionally do differently with your own family. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C), and EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist. My approach is warm, collaborative, and genuine, with a focus on helping you understand yourself more deeply, heal from experiences you may still be carrying, and create healthier patterns in your relationship with yourself and others.
